Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1039

After school, Samantha went to Luna Mansion. She hopped and skipped into the house.

"Big Bro! Bro! B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-…"

Shayne did not reply to her, so Samantha kept on calling.

Samantha changed into slippers and said to her brother happily, "Where's Yanny, big bro? Are we eating lemon chicken tonight?"

Shayne glanced at her coldly and said brusquely, "We're eating bread tonight."

Samantha scrunched up her face. "What's so nice about plain bread? I don't want that! I want sukiyaki! Lemon chicken! Spicy chicken! Sweet and sour pork! Cajun style shrimp!"

"You can go back to the family house if you want to eat there. There's none of that here."

Samantha was oblivious to what happened and said coyly, "I'm not going back! I want to eat the food that Yanny makes!"

"Go and look for her then! There's no use asking me!" Shayne roared at her.

Samantha was shocked. When she came to her senses, she asked, "Did you… argue with Yanny, big bro?"

Samantha looked at her brother expectantly.

Shayne glared at her. "I've broken up with her. If you mention her name again, I'll take away one thousand bucks from your pocket money each time."

After that, he stepped around her and went up the stairs.

Samantha was persistent. She followed behind him and did not stop talking. "Why are you being so merciless, big bro? Yanny has been together with you for so long. How can you break up with her just like that? How cruel!"

Shayne stopped walking and turned around to face his sister. "What nonsense are you talking about, Samantha?"

Samantha pouted and stared at him. She might have been impolite, but there was truth to her words.

"Can't you take pity on Yanny? Her family is extorting five million bucks from her, and now that you've broken up with her. Let me tell you, you won't find a better woman than her!"

Shayne abruptly stopped walking. "What did you just say?"

Samantha lifted her chin and said defiantly, "I said that you won't find a better woman than her!"

"Not this one."

"I said that you've broken up with her!"

"The one before that."

"… Oh, I said that her family is extorting five million bucks from her. Can't you at least take pity on her?"

Shayne frowned. 'Five million… is that the reason why she wanted five million bucks from me?'

However, his heart hardened again when he was reminded of her swindling face.

'I don't care if she lives or dies. I don't need her in my life anyway.

'We're on separate ways now. It's not like I can't let go of her.'

The interior of Zo-Pub was noisy and crowded.

After dinner, Yanny and Cindy were there to burn off some calories.

Cindy looked at the handsome men and beautiful women on the dance floor, then patted Yanny's shoulder. "It shouldn't be a problem for you to look for another one tonight, Yanny."

Yanny rapped the bar counter with her slender fingers and said to the bartender, "One mojito, please."

Cindy looked at her in amazement. "Are you sure you want to drink tonight?"

The alcohol content of mojitos were on the lower end among cocktails, but it was at least 10%. Cindy remembered that Yanny would get drunk on fruit liqueur.

Yanny replied, "It'll be fine."

The bartender handed Yanny a lime mojito. She took the glass and downed it in one gulp.

Even the bartender was surprised. "That's not how you should drink a cocktail, Miss. Are you on a binge?"

Yanny slapped a stack of dollar bills on the bar counter. "I have money, don't worry. One more!"

The bartender gestured a thumbs-up at her and did not say a word. 'She seems angry,' he thought.

Yanny drank eight cocktails in total. As she danced with Cindy on the dance floor, she was already incoherent.

Many men were attracted by her extraordinary looks and figure.

A young and handsome man stepped up and hugged Yanny's waist. "Are you here alone today, beautiful lady?" He said with a smile.

She smiled drunkenly at him.

The young man was infatuated. He had the urge to bring her to a motel room right now.

Yanny poked his chest with a finger. "Do you have money?" She said teasingly.

"How much do you want?" The young man looked at her perversely.

Yanny continued to poke his chest with more and more force, which caused the man to step backward. "Are you as rich as Shayne? I'm not going to date a poor loser."

Yanny burped and mumbled to herself, "I'll consider it if you're richer than Shayne."

Cindy finally managed to find Yanny on the crowded dance floor. She quickly dragged her away while apologizing to the people around them. "Excuse me, excuse me, my friend drank a little too much!"

They bumped into someone as Cindy dragged Yanny away.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

'What is she thinking?'

Shayne threw the phone in his hands at the door.

Crash!

The phone screen cracked.

Shayne's arms were akimbo. His chin was lifted and he inhaled and exhaled heavily, unable to calm himself down.

Even Vivien Reed, who had cuckolded him, dared not be so brazen.

A long while later, Shayne looked at his phone lying on the floor. He swallowed several times before walking over and picking it up.

It was still usable.

He called Jake and said coldly, "Investigate Yanny's whereabouts."

Jake was utterly confused. 'Didn't President Shayne want to block Yanny from his life earlier this morning? What's going on now?

'Well, it's not my place to ask.'

"Yes, President Shayne."

Meanwhile, Cindy sent Yanny back to the apartment at River Road.

Yanny collapsed on the couch.

Cindy did not have the strength to bring Yanny to her room in the loft.

She took a blanket and covered Yanny with it. "I hope you don't mind sleeping on the couch tonight, darling!"

Just as she was about to turn around to fetch her some warm water, Yanny grabbed her wrist.

"Shayne."

"Huh?"

Yanny's eyes remained closed. "I'm blind for having wasted so much time on you!"

Cindy pouted and looked at her helplessly. She sat down next to her and asked, "Yanny, have you fallen in love with Shayne?"

"I'm in love… not."

'I'm not in love with him! He's on the same side with the Jacobs! I'll never fall in love with him!'

Cindy laughed awkwardly.
