No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 894

Unless Liddell Corporation was handed over to Noelle, nothing was going to change.

Alfred walked over with a smirk, saying, "The Liddells just embarrassed themselves in front of everyone. No way they'd stick around—what, are they dying to explain why their product can't compete with ours?"

Noelle had to admit, it felt incredibly satisfying. Mia had warned her that Salena would definitely stir up trouble, and sure enough, she had sent the Liddells. It was shameless how they tried to cozy up to her just to sneak in a promotion for Liddell Corporation's new release—disgusting, really.

But Noelle had hit back just as hard, and the Liddells had gained nothing today. On the other hand, Wyatt's fall accidentally became the perfect advertisement for Maple Enterprise's prosthetics.

The Liddells had invested so much in Wyatt and Xenia, and now all that effort was benefiting Maple Enterprise instead. The more Noelle thought about it, the happier she felt.

She looked at the two men in front of her and said, "I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's coverage."

"No doubt. The Cantrells are probably so pissed right now they won't sleep a wink tonight," Alfred chuckled.

He had been keeping his distance from the Cantrells too. Maple Enterprise was one of his key investments, and he couldn't care less that she was his aunt. After all, she'd played dirty more than once, and he had still let it slide.

That was more than enough courtesy to a relative. In business, what mattered was strength, and Alfred had no intention of giving up his ground.

...

The product launch had been a major success, and afterward, the team went out to celebrate with dinner. Noelle drank a little, feeling light and cheerful. However, with Cedric by her side, she didn't drink much, and no one dared to pressure her.

By the time the dinner ended, it was already pretty late. Noelle returned to the apartment with Cedric, her head a little foggy. As soon as she stepped inside, she plopped down right in the entryway.

Cedric leaned down and scooped her up in his arms. Without even bothering to take off her shoes, he carried her straight into the master bedroom.

The door had barely clicked shut when movement stirred in the guest room. Mia struggled to push against the chest pressing down on her, her forehead covered in sweat.

Gritting her teeth, she whispered, "Let me go. They're definitely back."
