Frank's expression shifted at the doctor's words, and he hurriedly took the report. But his legs nearly gave out when he saw the result.
Frank looked up and stared at Xenia, who lay on the hospital bed. It took some time to calm himself. Then, he quietly folded the report and put it away.
He looked at the doctor and said, "You must never let anyone know about this, especially not my younger brother."
The doctor nodded. "Don't worry, Mr. Liddell. I'll keep it confidential. As long as you don't bring it up, I won't say a word."
Frank's assistant asked, "Mr. Liddell, are you really not going to do anything about this?"
"At least wait until Xenia's father is in prison and the whole ordeal with the Merlock family is over." Frank understood Noelle's plan. Since he couldn't help much, the least he could do was not drag her down.
He didn't want Donican to know about this either. Otherwise, there might be more complications. Honestly, he was scared of them now.
Even though they always said they would change, they made the same mistakes over and over again whenever they faced Noelle.
He didn't want his relationship with Noelle to worsen any further.
At the very least, he could still try to mend things with her once their parents' revenge was fulfilled.
Meanwhile, Noelle returned to school as usual to attend class.
She heard Xenia had a risk of miscarriage, but it shouldn't be an issue with a few days of rest.
As Noelle walked into the building, she saw a group of people standing in the distance.
Samantha stood among them. She looked furious, her face tense and hostile.
The moment Noelle saw Samantha, she knew trouble was coming.
Grace tugged at Noelle's arm with concern.
Noelle shook her head and said quietly, "Stay back. The Merlocks are on the verge of losing their mind. Don't provoke them. It's not worth it."
Besides, she still had evidence of the Merlocks' crimes in her hands.
