Cedric spoke up coldly. "I should've warned you never to touch her ever again!"
When Donovan saw Cedric, his expression froze in shock for a moment before twisting with a mix of emotions. As a man himself, he could tell that Cedric truly cared about Noelle.
He could not believe that the prestigious heir of the Greene family would fall for his own sister, of all people. Unfortunately, Donovan did not have a good relationship with Noelle.
Donovan wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and replied, "Noelle is my sister. Who even are you?"
The answer to that question came in the form of a swift and brutal punch. Donovan staggered backward, clutching his nose as he tried to endure the immense pain.
Noelle was standing beside Cedric as she watched him deliver the blow. His movements were quick and ruthless.
Cedric stepped forward while staring at Donovan. "Noelle is my girlfriend. Lay a finger on her again, and I'll make sure that it's impossible for your family to continue staying within Yasnia."
Donovan clutched his nose and looked upward as blood flowed down his face. "Oh, if it isn't the great Mr. Greene. You've really gotten yourself a powerful ally, Noelle. You win.
"I've worked so hard for so many years, and yet I still can't compete against a woman who simply just clung to a more powerful man. If I were a woman, maybe I'd have figured out the truth about the car accident years ago."
Noelle raised her hand and slapped Donovan across the face in response. Her gaze was cold as she explained, "This slap was on behalf of our parents."
Donovan replied, "Did I say anything wrong? If it weren't for Cedric, how could you have uncovered the truth so quickly? What do you have on your own that could rival the Merlocks?"
Cedric immediately replied, "Noelle didn't rely entirely on me. She's far more capable than you think she is."
