Noelle went straight to meet Cedric. At such a critical moment, she absolutely needed to be there in person. But while she was in the taxi, she suddenly noticed someone tailing her.
She watched through the rearview mirror for a while. A car was definitely acting suspiciously.
Did Donovan send them? Or was it someone from the Merlock family?
Right now, Noelle couldn't be sure. She thought for a moment, then texted Cedric, "I think someone's following me."
A second later, Cedric called. "Don't say anything yet. Just follow my instructions. Someone will come to meet you soon."
"Got it." Noelle glanced outside, then told the driver, "Take me to the mall."
Since she was being followed, she couldn't head to their agreed-upon location without risking exposing their plans. After arriving at the mall, Noelle took the escalator upstairs.
There was an event, so the mall was quite crowded. Noelle blended into the crowd and noticed someone had followed her inside.
However, she acted as if she hadn't noticed and calmly followed Cedric's instructions. She entered a clothing store to try something on, then slipped out through the back door of the fitting area.
Noelle changed jackets and was now wearing a wig and hat. She headed straight for the underground parking lot. A car was already waiting for her. She got in and quickly left.
She finally let out a breath of relief. Cedric called again.
Noelle sighed. "I still have no idea who sent the person following me."
Noelle would have suspected it was someone from her own family if Laura hadn't confronted her earlier today. But now, she wasn't so sure.
It was likely that Laura still hadn't given up. The Merlocks would continue to suspect the Liddell family as long as Ruth remained missing.
