Noelle did not expect the president of PZ Group to be attending the wedding.
She recalled that in her past life, the president of PZ Group had always kept a low profile. He rarely appeared in public to socialize and would only send his men to handle the business negotiations.
It was not until PZ Group's eventual collapse that the president was finally arrested. But until then, no news about him had ever reached public ears, which was precisely why Noelle had so much trouble with PZ Group.
Cedric's investigation also revealed little. He was extra cautious to avoid alerting their target too soon. Everyone was waiting for a lead from Xenia to capture her father, Sean.
As Noelle fell silent for a while, Wyatt mistakenly thought that he had succeeded in intimidating her.
He smugly continued, "We're holding the wedding in this villa, and we've invited a lot of people of status as guests. Plenty of companies wished to partner with PZ Group, but they were never even given a chance! PZ Group values our company that much!"
Xenia then spoke up with pride. "Noelle, I'll undo the renovation after the wedding. Is that fine with you?"
Noelle looked at them with a stern expression and said nothing. She did not agree with or object to Xenia's question. She was curious to meet the president of PZ Group.
Frank stepped in to smooth things over. "I guess Noelle has agreed since she isn't objecting to it. She probably never meant to really stop the renovation."
Xenia was displeased with Noelle deliberately making things difficult for her. She then showed off her necklace proudly and said, "Thank you, Noelle.
"By the way, what do you think of this necklace? Wyatt insisted on buying it for me today."
Wyatt chimed in as well. "We're getting married soon, of course, I'd buy you the best there is. Unlike a certain someone who's only being flashy on the outside when they really have nothing."
Frank could tell who exactly Wyatt was talking about. He gave Noelle a complicated look. He never would have thought that the school doctor back in Noelle's high school was actually the heir to the Greene family.
What puzzled him was why someone like Cedric would even be working at the school, let alone become so close to Noelle. If it was merely coincidence, then it would be the greatest coincidence of all time.
Frank could not help but ask. "Noelle, how are things between you and Mr. Greene?"
