No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 647

Noelle hadn't expected this. She had TG Public Relations on her side, and Cedric was helping her in the background, yet she hadn't uncovered anything substantial.

Did Donovan also discover that Xenia's father was still alive? When Donovan saw Noelle's expression change, he immediately knew there was only one thing that could shake his cold-hearted sister–the car accident that had taken their parents' lives.

Noelle pressed. "What exactly did you find out?"

Donovan smirked. "Do you think I'd still tell you now? I thought we could be on the same side by letting you return to the Liddell family. I never expected you to stab me in the back!"

Noelle's hands curled into a fist. Her brother was threatening her. Meanwhile, Xenia paled, though it was already so swollen that no one could notice.

Panic surged through her. Has Donovan really uncovered something?

Did someone from PZ Group slip up and expose something? Or had her father's existence been discovered by the Liddells?

Xenia was too flustered to ask, but Wyatt was confused. "Donovan, why are you investigating the accident? Is there something I don't know?"

Donovan glanced at Wyatt. "There might have been something we overlooked. Back then, there was someone else behind the wheel of that car, but we never found out who. The truth was buried."

Wyatt didn't understand. "So what if there was someone else in the car?"

Donovan explained, "We suspect that person was the real driver. The one who got arrested and sent to prison was just a scapegoat."

Among the six Liddell brothers, Wyatt had always been the most mediocre. After losing his leg, he had become withdrawn and self-pitying. Eventually, he followed Carl to a research institute and never returned.

Wyatt shouted, "I wouldn't have lost my leg if it weren't for you!"

"That wasn't my fault." Noelle met his glare. "Didn't Donovan admit that he pushed all the blame on me because he didn't want to take responsibility?"

"If you hadn't caused our parents' deaths, the accident wouldn't have happened! And I wouldn't have been targeted!" Wyatt glared at her, his fury barely contained. But this time, he didn't dare raise his hand. His own from earlier was still bruised and aching.

This birch was getting harder to deal with. Still, he pressed on. "But you ruined Donovan's plan and disrupted the investigation. Isn't that your fault?"
