Wyatt still remembered how Noelle had mocked him for being cheated on. The thought made him grind his teeth in fury.
Did that bitch really think she could get away with this?
Donovan rubbed his temples in frustration. "Do you have any proof that Noelle was behind it?"
Although he had his own doubts, Noelle was still on good terms with Mia. How was he supposed to win Mia back if Noelle kept stirring up trouble around her?
Xenia suggested. "Donovan, you can ask Mrs. Cantrell. Something like this is bound to leave traces. She'll definitely be able to find evidence!"
Wyatt immediately followed up, "Donovan, we can report her to the police and have her punished once we find proof."
"Were all of you just going to pin the blame on me if I hadn't come back?" A voice rang out from the doorway. Noelle had been listening for a while before finally stepping inside.
The moment she appeared, the Liddell family paled.
Xenia's eyes were filled with murderous intent. "Noelle, why did you do this? You got us thrown out of the banquet and destroyed all of Donovan's hard work!"
Wyatt was even angrier. He rolled his wheelchair forward, raising a hand to hit Noelle.
But Noelle reacted first, slapping him back with such force that his hand went numb, followed by a sharp pain.
Wyatt gasped in disbelief. "Noelle, how dare you hit your brother?"
Noelle retorted, "You raised your hand first."
Sure enough, his gaze sharpened at Noelle. "Noelle, just tell me the truth. Was this your doing?"
Noelle looked at Donovan. The once arrogant, untouchable brother now carried a hint of defeat. It seemed that getting thrown out of the banquet had hit him hard.
She lifted her chin and smirked. "Does it even matter whether I did it or not?"
"So it really was you! Do you know what you've done? You've ruined years of my planning! I was so close to elevating the Liddell family, and when the time came to investigate the Merlocks, everything would have gone smoothly. But you've ruined everything!"
Donovan flushed red with anger. "Since that's the case, I see no reason to share the information I recently uncovered with you."
Noelle's expression shifted. "What else did you find out?"
