No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1432

Noelle slapped the dessert away and said, "These caring gestures of yours aren't going to cover up what you're doing to me right now."

Carl picked up a napkin and wiped his hands. "Let's just eat the main course if you're not in the mood for dessert."

She then flipped the entire table over and stared at him. "What exactly are you trying to do?"

"I told you. I'll send you home after a month."

"You think I'd believe that crap?"

Noelle had been on edge ever since she found out that there was something wrong with the room she was staying in. She could tell that Carl was definitely up to something, but she had not yet figured out what it was.

Carl glanced at the mess on the floor and replied, "I have other ways to keep you alive even if you don't eat. I'm sure you know that I'm capable of that."

Noelle was in disbelief over the absurdity of it all. She looked at Carl and said, "I really hate you, Carl. I wish you were dead."

Carl replied, "And I don't want to see you dead. I want to see you happy."

"Do you think that I'm happy being locked up in here? I was just about to live a happy life when you came in and destroyed everything with your own hands!"

He replied calmly, "No, what you're talking about wasn't happiness."

With that, he stood up and walked away. Noelle sat alone in the dining room, surrounded by the mess that she had made.

A nanny came in to clean up, but Noelle just looked over and shouted, "Get out!"

They quickly nodded and left.

Noelle covered her face. She did not know just what Carl was trying to achieve. As such, she did not know what she should be doing either.

If she were to throw a tantrum, Carl could just lock her back inside the room and never let her out again.

Noelle zoned out for a long time before finally getting up and leaving on her own, heading straight to the beach for a walk.
