Carl had never been able to forget the scene of Noelle's death in her past life ever since he was reborn. He replayed the scene in his mind again and again to serve as a reminder.
Carl spoke up after some time. "According to the timeline, whatever is meant to happen will happen. Doesn't matter who it happens to or how it happens. It will happen."
Frank looked at him and replied, "You're saying that Noelle's destined to die even in this life as well?"
"Yes. The funeral can be considered her death by proxy to fulfill the supposed fated event. Now that it's over, Noelle will be able to live life anew."
Blake asked, "Even so, you could've just told us all from the very beginning. But that's not what you had in mind, is it?"
Carl replied, "No, Noelle has changed too much. She won't voluntarily return to us. But this time, things are different from her past life."
Blake countered, "Since she has already died once in this life, shouldn't the rest of her life be her own decision to make?"
Carl looked at Blake and replied, "I'm just putting everything back in place. Her future will indeed be her own choice to make."
It was just that he did not know whether Noelle would still choose Cedric this time as well. He also wanted to see if Noelle could start over with her brothers once she had her memories reset and her pain forgotten.
Blake was in disbelief. "I still don't agree with this."
Carl replied, "Your opinion doesn't matter. My plan is already in motion."
Blake glared at Carl and said, "You've gone too far, Carl."
Wyatt then spoke up. "Carl, should we talk about how to treat Noelle after a month has passed? So that she doesn't notice that anything's off."
