Ivy barely slept at all that night. The moment she realized that Noelle had already discovered her relationship with Xenia, she immediately made a decision to move the plan ahead of time.

She could not afford to underestimate Noelle, given that Cedric was backing her up. She could not let her guard down against powerful families like the Greenes.

Owen lowered his head. "I just didn't want you to be distracted by these matters."

"Do my orders mean nothing to you? Do you think you'd be alive today without me? You would've been dead long ago!"

Ivy felt extremely furious about Owen's betrayal now that she had calmed down to assess the situation.

Owen just kept his head down and remained quiet.

She snorted and continued, "I'm warning you now. If I find you going against my orders again, then you can just go ahead and die. You owe your life to me anyway."
