The wariness and vigilance in Noelle's eyes disappeared the moment she saw Andrew. She let out a breath of relief and said, "I see. Carry on then."

Carl turned around and headed back inside the ICU with Andrew.

Noelle waited outside until Carl came out of the room. "How much longer until Cedric wakes up?"

"He'll wake up soon. This new medication will speed up the absorption of the blood clots in his head. He'll wake up once it's all absorbed."

Noelle pursed her lips and said, "A lot has been happening recently, so I was overthinking things."

Carl replied, "I understand. I don't blame you at all."

He helped wheel Noelle downstairs and continued, "What do you wanna do once all of this is over?"

Noelle replied, "I want to go on a vacation at the beach."

"You really like the seaside, don't you? The scenery on the island where I work is also pretty nice. Do you want to go check it out?"

She looked up and met Carl's gaze. "Forget it. I don't really have anything good to remember about that island anyway."

Carl's mood dimmed a little. "But it's different this time. I'll make it up to you someday. I promise."

Noelle wandered around for a while and got bored. "I want to get discharged."

"Sure. I'll come pick you up tonight."

"There's no need. I already have plans with a friend."

He then took out his phone and called Wyatt. Noelle likes the seaside. Make sure that her room has the best view possible."
