Noelle sat down on the couch with a smile and then turned to Mia. "Can you tell your chef to make something I like?"

Mia hesitated for a moment and looked at Ivy. "Why don't we go out to eat instead?"

Ivy could tell that Noelle was doing this on purpose. She had no choice but to endure. All she had to do was wait until Noelle left.

Noelle turned to Ivy and asked, "Ivy, have you gotten any leads on where Eason is yet? Do you want me to call the police for you?"

Ivy stood up and replied, "Thank you for your concern, but it's fine. I'm feeling a bit of a headache right now, so I'll be heading upstairs to rest. You two go ahead and eat."

Just then, a commotion rang out from the entrance of the house.

Xenia's voice rang out. "Who do you think you are? What makes you think that you can stop me?"

Ivy's expression shifted drastically the moment she heard Xenia's voice. She was certain that she had already arranged for someone to take Xenia away. She could not understand just what had happened for Xenia to be back here.

Curious, Noelle stood up and looked toward the door. "That sounds like Xenia. So she's actually hiding here?"

Ivy was completely at a loss for what to do next. Xenia burst into the house, looking a little disheveled. Her eyes flashed with hatred the moment she saw Ivy.

Ivy shot her a look, but Xenia just ignored it. Xenia then asked, "Why did you send someone to kill me?!"

Ivy was flabbergasted. "But I didn't!"

"Drop the act already! I know who Owen is. You think that I'm in the way, so you tried to get rid of me, didn't you?! I'm telling you, you're never getting rid of me for the rest of your life!"

Xenia felt like she was losing her mind. She had thought that Ivy had truly accepted her again, only to find out that she was tricked and even nearly killed. She felt utterly betrayed.
