Tilly said, "We've uncovered clues about the embezzled funds. As long as Ivy doesn't back out, we're confident we can trace the money and intercept whatever they've swindled."
"That's great," Noelle replied.
After hanging up, Noelle felt a wave of excitement. The trap she'd laid for Ivy was nearly complete.
She knew Ivy was brimming with confidence right now, and the latter must have no idea that her cover was blown.
Just then, Noelle received a text from Mia. "The Cantrell family is here. If you're free, come play your part in the show."
Noelle instantly understood and headed straight to the hospital. By the time she arrived, Salena was already in the ward with a group of reporters.
Turning to Mia, Salena said, "You've received refunds from PZ Group. Now, it's your duty to do an interview and clear their name. That's the least you can do."
Mia, who'd just been moved out of the ICU, sat on her bed and looked at Salena. "I'm not doing any interviews."
"That's not fair, Mia. You were the first to get your money back, so what's wrong with clarifying for PZ Group? We agreed to this, so don't go back on your word."
Noelle stepped in and intercepted, "Who said there was any agreement?"
Salena's fury surged the moment she saw Noelle. "There was."
Mia remained firm. "I won't clarify for PZ Group."
"Oh, please, Mia. You lost so much money, and yet you still trust Noelle. Don't you realize you're being played for a fool?" Salena snapped.
But Mia unwaveringly said, "Please leave, Aunt Salena. I'm not doing the interview."
Salena gritted her teeth and insisted. "Too bad. You are doing the interview, whether you like it or not."
Just then, Ivy appeared and turned to Salena. "If you don't leave now, I'll bring my reporters in. Do you want the internet to see you forcing an orphaned young lady into defending a scam?"
Salena turned and pointed at her furiously. "As a mistress, who are you to lecture me? Do you think no one knows what your real agenda is?"
