No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1247

Noelle never imagined she'd hear the name of the mental hospital again one day. In her past life, Pineview Psychiatric Hospital was where she'd been locked up and died.

Eugene noticed her pale face and asked, "What's wrong? You don't look so good."

"It's nothing. Why did Ivy visit the mental hospital?"

"We're still investigating. My men dared not get too close as they were scared her people would find out. But she wouldn't go there without a reason."

Noelle agreed it couldn't be that simple either, but why had she visited Pineview Psychiatric Hospital out of all mental hospitals in the city?

Something felt off. Who could Ivy possibly be visiting there?

A bold guess surfaced in her mind as she turned to Eugene and asked, "Do you think Xenia might still be alive and hidden in that hospital?"

She'd long suspected that Xenia wasn't dead and might have been taken away by Ivy. Back then, Cedric had turned the city upside down and failed to locate Xenia.

Ivy was being extra careful. If she'd hidden Xenia in a local mental hospital, Cedric's men would never have thought to search there.

The more Noelle thought about it, the more concerned she was. Xenia was most likely hidden in Pineview Psychiatric Hospital.

Eugene nodded. "I'll have my men focus their search. We'll be more efficient after narrowing the scope."

"Start with that focus. If it leads nowhere, we'll regroup and adjust."

Deep down, Noelle had a gut feeling that Xenia was there. And if they found her, things could get really interesting.

After leaving the hospital, Noelle's thoughts drifted to her past life and how she'd died in that mental hospital. It'd been during a bitterly cold winter like this one.

But this time, she wouldn't die there. She'd drag out every hidden figure from the shadows of her past life. She headed straight to Maple Enterprise to continue working overtime.

She took out her phone and saw the latest news of Salena publicly defending PZ Group. There were even pictures of Laura appearing alongside her to continue their endorsement of PZ Group's investment products.

PZ Group was clearly scrambling to whitewash its reputation. With Salena's support, all public suspicion aimed at the PZ Group was quickly dispelled.

Noelle sighed as she read the news. Some people just couldn't be saved.

She contacted Tilly from the PR team and asked, "How many people have withdrawn their refund requests from PZ Group?"

"From what we know, a small portion canceled their refunds. PZ Group promised that if they stay in, they'll still receive the same interest rates as before. That convinced a lot of people to stay."

Noelle clenched her jaw. That was exactly what Ivy was going after.

Although Mia got her money back, Ivy had seized the chance to secure more investment.
