Noelle sneered and replied, "Career, you say? I don't believe that you don't have any doubts about all of this within your heart."
Laura glared at her and replied, "Shut up, Noelle. You're just afraid that PZ Group will surpass you and the Greene family.
"You should leave. I still have work to do. Please don't disturb me and my family." With that, she turned and left.
Noelle watched Laura leave before storming back to Cedric. "Let's get out of here. I've had enough."
Cedric found it rather amusing. He then took Noelle's hand and left the place with her.
Laura's gaze turned even colder as she watched them leave. She decided that she would never let them off easily once the project succeeded, and she made it big. If she could not live a happy life, she would not let them have theirs either.
…
Noelle turned around after leaving the venue. "It really is a pyramid scheme."
Cedric replied, "Get in the car. It's cold outside."
She was still furious as she got in the car. She gritted her teeth and said, "Laura's getting even worse. I can't believe she actually became the head of a pyramid scheme."
"Don't be mad, Noelle."
"How can I not be mad? Did you not see how the other guests were acting like they'd lost their minds?
"Some of them even sold their houses just to put more money into that scam. Laura's not just scamming other well-off folks anymore; she's targeting the middle-class families, too."
That was what made Noelle truly furious.
Cedric held her hand and replied, "I already had my men look into it. Laura really has started targeting ordinary folks, and a lot of them, too. A single party like that would net her about tens of millions of dollars in investments."
"Ten million dollars in just a single night? Has she been throwing these parties every day?"
Cedric explained, "Don't worry too much, Noelle. Reports from undercover journalists who witnessed Laura persuading ordinary folks to invest their money will be published tomorrow, and the public will definitely not take her side. Her days are numbered."
Noelle nodded. "I hope that this can help reduce the damage for some of the victims."
Laura had truly become a brainwashing scammer.
More and more ordinary folks would fall victim to the scam if no one were to stop her.
Cedric's phone suddenly lit up with a notification. He took a look at the message and said, "The Cantrell family started causing trouble at the hospital."
"Mrs. Cantrell never knew when to give up, huh? What's she trying to do now?"
Cedric frowned. "Mrs. Ivy is there as well. Apparently, she got beaten up by Mrs. Salena and has been hospitalized."
