Cedric glanced at Carl, gritted his teeth, and then withdrew his hand.
Carl showed a smug, victorious expression. He walked over and helped Noelle up. "Noelle, let me take you home to rest."
Noelle stood up and pulled her hand away. She looked at Carl and said, "I'm not tired yet. I want to stay here and wait for Mia to wake up."
Carl looked at her and replied, "She will wake up in time, but you'll only exhaust yourself by staying here until she does. Won't you just listen to me?"
Noelle pursed her lips and replied, "Fine, but I'm going back to the dorm."
Carl grabbed Noelle by the wrist. "You should go home. Nobody's there to take care of you at the dorm. Let's go, I'll take you home."
Noelle turned around to look at Cedric.
Cedric then walked up to her and said, "Go get some rest, Noelle. I'll stay here. I'll give you a call when Mia wakes up."
Carl stepped forward to block Cedric's field of view. "She won't be waking up anytime soon."
Noelle became worried. "What do you mean?"
He bent down and looked at her. "I'm saying that you should go home and get some sleep. Your friend will be awake when you come back to the hospital tomorrow. You can trust me on this. I'm a professional after all."
Noelle frowned as she wondered if Carl had done something behind the scenes.
But as of that point, she could not afford to lose her temper on him.
She just needed to wait a little longer until Mia woke up safely.
Noelle then left together with Carl.
Jeremy looked at Cedric and said, "Didn't expect you to take a step back for once. So, you're treating the Liddells as your in-laws now?"
Cedric sneered and replied, "They're not worthy."
