No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1154

Noelle couldn't quite describe how she felt. She turned to Mia and said, "Ivy looks too much like Xenia, and that's why I've been on guard."

"I understand. It's fine."

After saying goodbye to Mia, Noelle turned to Cedric and asked, "You feel something's off, don't you?"

"Yeah. Everything about the car crash is too similar to the one that killed your parents."

If it had been someone else in the car, they might not have thought much of it, but it had to be Ivy.

Noelle nodded. "I knew you'd get what I meant."

Cedric took her hand and said, "Let's talk in the car. It's freezing out here."

It was only now that Noelle felt the sharp chill in the air. She bent down and got into the car with Cedric.

Once seated, she glanced at his injured hand and reminded him, "Be careful not to get it wet these next few days."

Cedric gave a casual grunt of acknowledgment and clearly did not take her words seriously.

She pressed on, "Don't just brush this off. If you can't remember, have the housekeepers remind you."

"I'm not used to having someone attend to me that closely."

Noelle wasn't sure how she should respond. Suddenly, Cedric turned his head to look at her and added, "Unless it's you."

Unless it was her?

Noelle understood the implication in his words and turned to look out the window. "I have to go back to school."

"Your classes are already over. You've got finals next week, then you're off for a break."

Noelle turned back to look at him suspiciously. "How do you know our schedule so well?"
