Noelle returned to campus after dinner. As soon as she stepped into the dorm, however, she noticed Grace and Mia exchanging a glance with each other, as if they had something to say.

Grace was the first to step forward. "Noelle, you've got to come clean. Did you go on a date this afternoon?"

"I went to the detention center with Mrs. Greene this afternoon. Didn't you two already know that?" Noelle replied.

Grace continued, "We know that part. What we didn't know was that you had a meal with them afterward, and someone secretly took photos of you."

"Someone secretly took photos of me? What do you mean?" Noelle asked.

Mia then replied, "News about you at the restaurant got leaked online. Everyone's saying that you and Cedric are already at the stage where you meet each other's parents."

"They can say whatever they want. It's not like Cedric and I are celebrities or anything, so why is anyone even remotely interested in us?" Noelle replied.

Mia explained, "It's all thanks to Laura. She may have a terrible reputation right now, but she's still a very popular person online.

"Everyone knows about her past with Cedric, so they're now paying attention to both you and Cedric as a result."

Noelle felt nothing but disbelief at the moment.

Grace grinned and added, "I bet Laura must be fuming after seeing the news, but the only thing she can do is be jealous of you in the shadows. Everything you have now is what she once dreamed of getting after all."

No matter how hard Laura started working on herself at that point, she would still never compare to Noelle.

Noelle shook her head. "Laura could have also lived a good life if she hadn't been so obsessed about all of this. She was also being manipulated by her own mother into making self-destructive choices."

Laura used to be the number one socialite after all, thanks to her beauty, great figure, and amazing reputation.

If her reputation had not been ruined, she could have easily made it big in the entertainment industry, or even succeed in anything she chose to pursue a career in.

Unfortunately, all Laura ever cared about was men. She blindly followed Ruth's instructions and made various sacrifices that ultimately led to her own downfall.
