No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1005

Noelle looked at Carl, confusion in her eyes.

Carl asked, "Don't you remember?"

"I really don't remember. What connection do I have with this scar removal cream?" she replied. Memories from her previous life flashed through her mind—the process of developing this cream, the deliberate cuts made on her face—she could almost still feel the pain.

However, she clearly remembered that she had no connection to this cream in her lifetime.

Blake walked over and said, "Noelle, have you forgotten? You were the one who found the ancient formula for this scar removal cream, which allowed Carl to develop such an effective product."

After hearing this, Noelle vaguely recalled the incident. She responded with mockery, "But at that time, didn't you all say that when it was developed, you would tell everyone it was Xenia who found it? So Xenia's resume would look more impressive."

When Noelle said this, all her brothers fell silent. Carl asked, confused, "Is that true?"

Blake rubbed his nose. "We were deceived by Xenia back then. She pretended to be pitiful, saying Noelle was so accomplished that it made her feel useless, so we softened and agreed."

Carl's face hardened. "That's ridiculous. How could you agree to that? If Xenia wasn't accomplished enough, that was because she was foolish. Why should Noelle be brought down to make Xenia look less stupid?"

Blake looked guilty. "Yes, we were indeed foolish back then."

Frank also appeared remorseful. "We were fooled by Xenia at that time. We know we were wrong now."

Lucas looked at Noelle. "Noelle, I was truly very wrong before. I've done a lot of reflecting while on the island. I'll make it up to you in the future."

Donovan chimed in, "Yes, Noelle, everyone has apologized to you. You've made your point, so shouldn't you let it go now?"

A mocking smile appeared at the corner of Noelle's mouth. Frank shot Donovan a sharp look. "Donovan, if you don't know how to apologize properly, then don't say anything."

What kind of half-assed apology was that?

Noelle swept her gaze over the six brothers standing before her. "Like I've said before—we aren't suited to be siblings. Keeping our distance is better for everyone."
