Throughout the entire scene, Laura stood coldly to the side, making no move to help.

Ruth struggled to get up from the ground and walked over to her, asking, "Laura, do something! You can't just stand by and watch me go to prison, can you?"

Laura looked as hollow as a walking corpse. She let out a bitter laugh. "Why don't you take whatever's left of me and see if there's anything else worth selling?"

Ruth slapped Laura, growling, "I don't care! Figure something out. I've invested so much money in you. Everything I've done was for this family, and now it's time for you to repay me."

Laura was numb beyond tears. She had completely humiliated herself in front of Noelle today. She could not find a reason to even go on. She had become the laughingstock of their social circle. The former top socialite was now just a woman who sold her body.

Bradley called out, "Someone, get these crazy women out of here. Don't let them ruin Ms. Liddell's mood."

Soon, security guards surrounded Ruth and Laura.

Ruth scowled at Noelle. "You bitch! What did you do? Wasn't it enough to steal Cedric? Now you want to steal Laura's fiancé, too? Have you no shame?"

Noelle found this accusation laughable. She stepped forward and looked at Ruth with mockery. "You think I'd be interested in stealing an old man like him? Only you and Laura would be interested in someone like that."

After hearing this, Laura saw red and clawed at Noelle's face. "You bitch!"

Noelle stepped back and glared at Laura. "I told you before that your luck would run out. Funny how karma only took a few hours to catch up with you."

Laura screamed, "Noelle, what the hell did you do? I'll kill you! You've destroyed my life—you've ruined everything!"
