Diana's pov

"Who's that?!" My voice came out loud as I sat up quickly in my bed. My heart raced fast‚ and the sheets twisted around my legs.

The room was completely dark‚ and I couldn't see a thing. Fear gripped me tight‚ making my skin prickle. I was alone in my bedroom‚ or at least I thought I was‚ wearing only my sleeveless black lacy nightgown that hugged my body.

"Shhhhh‚" a voice whispered from the shadows‚ making my chest rise and fall in panic.

I clutched the blanket to my chest‚ my heart beating wildly.

Who was there?

My mind filled with terrible ideas‚ was it a burglar?

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" I asked‚ my voice trembling as I reached for the lamp. My fingers shook‚ but I couldn't find the switch in the dark.

"Shhh‚ Di. It's me‚ Isaac‚" he replied.

My eyes widened in surprise.

"Isaac?!" I gasped‚ my hand covering my mouth. "What are you doing here by this time??!"

He wasn't supposed to be here‚ not after everything. The house was quiet‚ everyone asleep‚ but if anyone woke up‚ we would be in so much trouble.

Yet‚ just hearing his voice made my body react‚ a familiar ache starting between my legs.

I heard his footsteps on the floor‚ then‚ in the faint light from the window‚ I saw his outline. He walked toward my bed‚ and without saying a word‚ he pulled off his shirt. His bare chest appeared‚ muscles strong and defined from all his time at the gym and work. He tossed the shirt aside and climbed onto my bed. The mattress sank under his weight‚ and I felt the heat from his body right away.

"What are you doing‚ Isaac?" I asked trying to slide off the bed‚ but he reached out and grabbed my arm gently. He pulled me back onto the bed‚ his grip firm enough to keep me there.

"I just want to sleep‚" he said simply‚ his eyes meeting mine in the dim room. His gaze held so much intensity‚ it made my pulse quicken.
