Diana’s POV

I stayed quiet during the drive.

Isaac didn’t ask many questions and I didn’t offer any answers. My mind was simply too tired to think about anything else.

He drove out of our estate slowly‚ passing the familiar streets and houses I had known my entire life. I thought he was taking the main road back toward the city‚ but instead he turned onto a quiet road I had never really paid attention to before.

We drove for a few minutes‚ leaving the busy roads behind us. Soon the houses disappeared and trees began to line both sides of the road. The air outside looked calmer‚ and the sunlight filtered through the tall branches above.

Isaac finally stopped the car near a small clearing.

“Come‚” he said softly.

I stepped out of the car and followed him a few steps forward.

The moment I looked up‚ I froze.

“Wow… this is beautiful.”

The place looked like a hidden natural garden surrounded by tall green trees. In the middle stood a small stone fountain where clear water flowed gently into a shallow pool below. Little birds flew around the trees and landed near the water‚ chirping softly as they moved between the branches.

Bright flowers grew around the garden in soft colors of red‚ yellow‚ and purple. Their scent filled the air in a calm and comforting way.

Just behind the fountain was a natural pool of water spreading across smooth stones. The water moved slowly from the fountain into the pool‚ making it look almost like a tiny peaceful beach.

“This is so amazing‚” I said softly.

Isaac smiled faintly.

“Yes. I discovered this place when I came back to the city. It became my relaxing place.”

He looked around calmly.

“Whenever things get overwhelming at work‚ I come here to clear my head. I thought bringing you here might help you forget everything for a while.”

My chest tightened slightly.

“Thank you‚” I said quietly.

I sat on a flat stone near the fountain and watched the birds move around the garden. I tried to calm my thoughts and simply breathe.

Isaac sat beside me.

“I’m sorry I left abruptly earlier‚” I said. “I shouldn’t have.”

“It’s fine‚” he replied.

He gently squeezed my hand and lifted it to place a kiss on it.

“I love you‚” he said suddenly.

My whole body froze.

“W—what did you say?”

“I love you‚ Diana Ryan Wolfe‚” he repeated.
