RYAN’S POV 

“Ryan…” Anna called softly, bringing my attention back to her. 

“Yes, baby…” I replied, carrying her bridal–style to the car, leaving the rest in the hands of Dad and his team. 

“Please take me home,” she said weakly. 

“What? No, baby. I need to take you to the hospital to get this treated.” 

Anna shook her head, her voice barely above a whisper. “No, Ryan, please… just take me home. Please.” 

The look she gave me was enough to make me agree without thinking twice. 

I carefully placed her in the back seat and closed the car door before moving to the driver’s side and starting the engine immediately. 

“I’ll call the doctor. He’ll treat you at home,” I said, already dialing the new doctor since Dr. Kellan wasn’t in the city. 

I couldn’t help stealing glances at Anna. She was acting strange… too calm, too quiet. I had so many questions to ask her, but this wasn’t the time. 

How had she defeated Sophie and even George? When I got there, I hadn’t expected to see George almost torn apart, the same with Sophie. Did Anna… no, that couldn’t be. 

“Yes, I did it,” she said suddenly. 

“Huh?” I looked at her, surprised. 

“I know you’re wondering what happened, Ryan.” 

“Anna…” 

“My memories have returned,” she said. 

My hands froze on the steering wheel. I almost swerved off the road. “W–what did you say?” 

“My memories are back, Ryan.” 

I couldn’t contain the happiness that exploded in my chest. She remembered everything. My Anna was finally back. I wanted to stop the car and kiss her senseless, but I couldn’t. She was still bleeding, still in pain. 

But she wasn’t done. 

“And… I’ve gotten my wolf back.” 

“What?” I almost yelled. “That explains it! That explains why I could feel you through the mind link again.” 

I was grinning like an idiot, my heart pounding, but she just gave me a tired smile. I called the doctor and told him to come to the house immediately for a silver dagger case. 

Anna shook her head. “Don’t bother.” 

“What? Anna, you need-” 

“Stop the car,” she said. 

“Huh?” 

“I said stop the car. 

“Anna…” 

“Shh…” she interrupted, her voice low but firm. Then she climbed from the back seat to the front, her movements surprisingly strong for someone who had been stabbed. 

“Anna, what are you doing—” 

She moaned, soft, sexy, “Ryan…”
