Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 60

Melissa's mother, Naomi Zarr, quickly arrived at the kindergarten. As soon as she entered, her sharp voice could be heard asking, "Which child hit Melissa?"

Her voice was loud enough to be heard from a distance before she even arrived.

When Melissa heard Naomi, she quickly ran out of the classroom and started complaining, "Mommy, it's her! She bullied me!"

Naomi saw Melissa's swollen, red eyes and felt heartbroken. She immediately asked, "How did she bully you? Why are your eyes so red?"

Melissa said, "She hit me!"

Her face was filled with grievance, and tears were still welling up in her eyes.

Stella quickly stepped forward to explain, "Mrs. Lane, this is actually a misunderstanding..."

She quickly explained the sequence of events to Naomi.

At first, she thought Naomi might want to resolve the matter calmly, but instead, Naomi said, "Let's not talk about the fact that Melissa blocked Amber first. Amber definitely made the first move, right?"

She pointed at Amber and stared at her with a fierce look. If it were an ordinary child, they would probably be scared and start crying. However, Amber wasn't afraid at all. She spoke up, "I did make a move, but I didn't hit her. I only stopped her from pulling me."

As soon as Naomi heard this, she immediately scolded Amber, "That's still hitting! You're still so young, yet you're already so vicious. Do you know how precious Melissa is? She has to use her hands for painting and playing the piano. What if you hurt her? Can you take responsibility for that? Apologize to Melissa right now!"

Amber frowned. "Ma'am, can you be reasonable? Melissa started the fight first, but you didn't criticize her. Now, you want me to apologize?"

Naomi sneered, "What? Are you trying to teach me a lesson now? Kids these days have no manners. How dare you talk back to your elders?"

Kayden replied, "I'm just stating the facts."

Naomi was momentarily silenced, and her anger flared up. However, she didn't dare to take it out on Kayden.

But then she thought about it again. This had nothing to do with Kayden. How she dealt with Amber was entirely up to her. Why should she care what he thought? No matter what, she wouldn't be offending the Norman family.

Hence, Naomi relaxed and said, "Kayden, you're still young and can't fully distinguish between right and wrong. I won't blame you. But Amber hit someone, and she needs to face the consequences. So..."

She gave Amber a fierce look and questioned, "Are you going to apologize or not? If you don't, you'll have to leave this kindergarten for good. We can't possibly have you hit someone else in the future, can we?"

She turned to Stella standing beside her and pressed, "Don't you agree, Ms. Kent?"
