Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 661

"Oliver, come on, focus. You're here to see Dominic, right? Did you hear he's also competing in the robotics competition?"

Oliver nodded, "Yeah, I know. Came to see how Dominic manages to screw this one up. The guy's got a talent for failing; losing is like his second nature."

Josefina couldn't help but laugh and roll her eyes. Was Oliver really here just to throw shade at Dominic?

Leaning in, Oliver's deep gaze locked onto hers, his lips curling into a slight smirk. "Josie, you think my gut feeling's right? Dominic's gonna bomb, isn't he?"

Oliver's face was so close, it felt like just a breath away from a kiss.

"You're right," Josefina said, pushing him back gently.

Like a magician pulling rabbits out of a hat, Oliver handed Josefina a cup of iced tea and passed one to Hattie as well. When it was Garrett's turn, he handed him a cup of coffee instead.

"Oliver, you made it!" Garrett said, sounding surprised.

Oliver replied modestly, "Uncle, I heard Josie was here cheering on Jingyan, so I thought I'd drop by too."

Hattie chimed in with a smile, "Oliver, thanks for the iced tea."

"Don't mention it, happy to help."

Josefina thought to herself, Oliver sure had a way with words.

Continuing the conversation, Josefina asked, "So, Dominic's started a tech company?"

"Yeah, Dominic's company just got off the ground. Looks like he's aiming to compete for the CEO spot, trying to show the shareholders what he's got."

It dawned on Josefina that with Oliver blocking Dominic from entering the company, the guy had to find another route.

Maybe with Rowan being ill, Dominic and Sydney knew they had to step up their game. Otherwise, once Rowan passed and Grandpa Brandon stepped in, Dominic would be out in the cold.

"I'm curious to see what Dominic's got up his sleeve," Oliver said with a smirk.
