Albert broke the silence, "So, your robot can only spit fire once? Shoot a weapon just once?"
Dominic was momentarily speechless, then retorted with a hint of arrogance, "Who said that? It can shoot twice and fend off enemies as well."
Reid couldn't help but laugh, "I thought it could shoot a plethora of times. Come on, my robot, though only five feet tall, can shoot five times. Your robot is too basic! Even its knives aren't sharp enough."
Albert responded, "Let my robot show you what it's capable of. You can't feel bad without a comparison."
Reid suggested, "Let my robot demonstrate first."
Albert didn't argue with Reid; after all, Reid was the boss here. Being the big cheese, Reid had his privileges, and letting him have his way wasn't a loss of face.
Reid had his five-foot robot take the stage. The robot leaped into the air and landed gracefully on the platform.
"Show them what you've got, Dier."
"Sure thing, boss," Dier responded.
With that, Reid's robot sprang into action, kicking Bee and causing a stir among the onlookers.
Dominic was livid, "What are you doing!"
Reid retorted, "My robot just kicked yours clear across the room. Doesn't that prove our strength?"
The judges, after a brief consultation, found Reid's argument quite reasonable.
When Dominic's robot was about to take the stage again, Dier rushed over, entangling it with a rope that restricted its movements. Dominic couldn't believe his robot had lost.
Reid added, "Your robot lost, and I didn't even damage it. I've been more than fair. If you're not convinced, let our robots have a proper showdown."
Dominic was seething. A damaged robot would mean a hefty price to pay. His robot's response had been too slow.
