Chapter 1112 He's Dead
The mention of those two words wiped the smile off Lucy's face in an instant. After a pause, she responded to Colin's question with a chilling expression, "He won't visit me. He's dead."
"D-dead?" Colin was caught off guard by Lucy's revelation, rendered momentarily speechless.
"Lucy means she considers her ex-boyfriend dead to her," Cherise interjected, her lips tightening as she swiftly clarified for Colin with a faint smile, "You don't need to worry. He... won't show up to visit her."
Colin pursed his lips and let out a sigh, feeling slightly relieved at Cherise's words. He looked at Cherise and Lucy, then stood up abruptly. "Cherise informed me that it's been a while since you two caught up, so I won't intrude any longer. I'll take my leave!" With that, he made a swift exit, paying little heed to the reactions of the two women at the table.
How unsettling… Encountering Lucy had been an unexpected twist for him, one he hadn't anticipated. Before he met her, he never imagined that the woman would be so… frightening. The ease with which she declared her ex-boyfriend deceased was unsettling, to say the least. She can't go around saying that her ex-boyfriend is dead. Would she do the same if we part ways in the future? The mere thought of it gave him a headache.
"This person..." Lucy remarked to Cherise as she sat down, watching Colin's departure with a thoughtful gaze, "Despite resembling Damien, his personality couldn't be more different from Damien's."
Cherise nodded, her lips pursed in agreement. "I never expected him to have such an endearing personality at first..." She paused, then looked up suddenly as if remembering something. "Oh, by the way, my husband mentioned he collected his and Colin's hair samples for you to do a DNA test. What are the results?"
"Oh, come on, I'm just a temporary stand-in," Lucy waved off Cherise's concern. "I'm just playing a role. Don't overcomplicate things!"
Cherise smirked and changed the subject to Alexis. "He's easy to get along with, isn't he?"
"We get along wonderfully," Lucy replied. As she spoke about her son, a warm, kind smile lit up her face. "He's like my biological son, and we share a special bond. He's very thoughtful. He constantly clings to me, making me tea, fetching me water, and sharing stories to lift my spirits when I'm feeling low..."

🌸 Message to the Author: 🌸 Hi! I just finished reading your story, and I truly loved it — especially Damien and Cherise’s journey. But what completely stole my heart was Lennon and Lucy. Their final scene left me stunned… Lennon being alive, quietly showing up after all that time — it was such a powerful and emotional moment. But it also left me with so many feelings… What happened to him? How did Lucy react after the shock wore off? What did they say to each other? I keep thinking about them. I know they’re side characters, and the story is marked as completed, but I would truly love a bonus chapter — even a small one — to see what came next for them. They deserve that closure. And honestly? So do we, as readers who deeply connected with them. And we would also love to see more of Damien and cherise with their kids. Thank you for creating characters that live so deeply in our hearts. If you ever feel inspired, please consider giving Lennon and Lucy a little more. ❤️...
