"Well, Damien sleeps beside you every day. If you can't recognize him, that's quite sad," Lucy remarked.

She retrieved her phone and displayed Damien's photo. "See, my husband's jawline is more defined. Colin has a gentler demeanor, lacking Damien's assertive presence. Also..."

Setting down a cup of steaming coffee in front of him, she continued, "I'm on board with this contract marriage."

"Oh, before you go." Colin took a deep breath, unable to resist voicing his question any longer when Lucy stood up to leave. "Ms. Staber, I have something to ask you."
