Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 63

Arthur seized her hand, furrowing his brow, "Sheryl, I want to save our most special night for our wedding night. You should go to bed; I have some matters to attend to."

He turned away and walked briskly out of the room.

Observing his departure, a slight smirk played on the corner of her lips.

Even though he rejected her advances this time, she could sense his nervousness and inner conflict.

Humph, she was attractive, alluring, and irresistibly beautiful. Every man desires her. She refused to believe that he wasn't interested in her. She firmly believed that as long as Arthur slept with her, their relationship would be unbreakable, even if Sylvia tried to interfere.

At that moment, her mobile phone rang.

She answered it.

"Ms. Lancelot, all the Peruvian balsam in the market has been collected," a man's deep voice relayed through the phone.

"Excellent, good job," a sinister smile crept across her face.

Upon learning of Sylvia's pursuit of Peruvian balsam, she swiftly deployed her confidants to purchase the entire stock available in the market.

She would not allow Sylvia to succeed!

Her goal extended beyond reclaiming Gucci Company; she aimed to oust Sylvia from Paris entirely. Only then could she secure her position as Mrs. Bridgewater.

The following day at Bridgewater Mansion, Hendrick appeared discontent.

Today, as he hurriedly made his way to the toilet at the Academy, holding onto the waistband of his pants, Mr. Miller inexplicably intercepted him and brought him back to Montessori Academy.

After school, his plans to meet up with Christopher were disrupted, and he found himself reluctantly returning to Bridgewater Mansion.

Frustrated, he sought solace in the back garden and confided in Christopher.

"Hey, Young Master is still keen on marrying Sheryl Lancelot. Now she's getting even more arrogant. Our lives won't be easy."

"Yes," Elaine replied with a smile and a nod, "Isn't it great? Mom and Dad are finally getting married. We'll be one big happy family, right?"

"I'm not stupid like you," Hendrick retorted angrily, "Mommy isn't mine; she's yours."

Elaine blinked her big eyes and asked in confusion, "My mommy is your mommy too. Aren't you happy that Daddy and Mommy are getting married?"

"Only a devil would be happy," Hendrick replied sternly, then briskly headed towards his bedroom.

"Hey, what's your problem?" Elaine couldn’t understand. She looked at his retreating figure and pouted, "What a grump."

This time she hadn't teased him; she'd even offered him ice cream, something he obviously enjoyed. Yet, he was so unappreciative—how dull!

Elaine shook her head, deciding to leave him be. She went off to amuse herself on the swing, enjoying the joyful atmosphere in the mansion.

Daddy was marrying Mommy, and she was thrilled!
