Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 121

Arthur's gaze remained glued to the computer, his expression intense.

"Mr. Bridgewater," Sylvia uttered softly as she stood in front of the desk.

Arthur was engrossed in scrutinizing the resume of a twenty-two-year-old named Rose Lang. She was a graduate of the University of Texas, renowned for its psychology programs, and had previously worked at one of the most prestigious psychological institutions in the United States. Judging from her resume, she seemed highly suitable for Hendrick.

Immersed in his intense focus, he didn't register her calls, even after she repeated them.

"Mr. Bridgewater," Sylvia had to elevate her voice.

At last, Arthur heard her and lifted his gaze.

Shortly after, he sat up straight, his complexion altering as if he had encountered a ghost. Following a moment of astonishment, he furiously questioned, "Why are you here once more?"

Abruptly, he sneered, "Are you here to settle the debt?"

"No." She lowered her brows and shook her head. "Even if you kicked me out and drained every drop of my blood, I couldn't afford to repay that much money."

"Then why are you here?" He scowled, his eyes filled with disdain.

"Mr. Bridgewater, I heard that you're hiring a therapist. I want to give it a try," she said, pursing her lips and speaking earnestly.

Arthur was momentarily dumbfounded; he felt like he was witnessing a bizarre international comedy. He gazed at Sylvia incredulously. "I'm recruiting a therapist for my son, and you're here to give it a try? Is there something wrong with your brain? Do you believe you're qualified for such a significant role?"

It was one thing for this woman to harm him, but the audacity of wanting to involve his son was beyond comprehension. Was she out of her mind?

Why would she assume he would ever entertain such a preposterous idea?

What a ludicrous notion!

What made her believe he would select her as his son's therapist? Just because of her supposed cleverness?

Today, he realized that there could be women who considered themselves highly desirable in this world.

However, he saw through it.

The woman, who always maintained an air of loftiness in his presence, seemingly indifferent to fame and fortune, was actually attempting to grab his attention, intending to pursue him!

He was well-acquainted with such superficial tactics!

The more evident it became, the more repulsed he felt, and the less inclined he was to entertain them!

He grabbed Sylvia's resume, didn't bother reading it, tore it in half, sneered, and tossed it into the trash can.
