Leaving the Wrong Love Behind Forever novel Chapter 122

Upon her return to Gucci Company, Sylvia found an elegant and charismatic man seated in her office. Secretary Bridgewater had already set up tea for him.

"Mr. Jacobs, you... found time to visit today." She hesitated momentarily, then smiled faintly.

Charles beamed, "Sylvia, I had some business nearby, so I thought I'd drop by to see you."

"Oh, thank you."

She took a seat across from him, placing her hands on her knees.

His gaze remained intense as he observed her.

Feeling a bit uneasy, she avoided making eye contact.

"Sylvia, is the company facing challenges?" He inquired suddenly, his tone filled with concern and thoughtfulness.

Sylvia was caught off guard and shook her head, saying, "It's fine."

"Sylvia, I want you to consider me a friend. If there's anything you require, let me know. I'll do my best to assist you." He paused for a moment before expressing his sentiments.

Knowing that Arthur was the financial backing behind Gucci Company and considering Sylvia had reclaimed all her shares, he understood that, given Arthur's current stance, he might be reluctant to continue his investment.

"Alright, I appreciate your offer." She hesitated to seek his assistance in financing the company. She had a plan in mind, if she couldn't secure funding, she was ready to mortgage the company and generate some cash to tide over the situation. Once the perfume was launched, the capital would be recouped swiftly.

Her resolve was clear; she was determined not to be indebted to anyone, including Arthur.

When Arthur demanded $300 million in compensation from her that day, she realized the importance of being an independent and resilient woman, not relying on any man!

...

In the afternoon, Arthur returned home early.

Upon entering the hall, he noticed Hendrick sitting on a small bench in the living room, an easel in front of him as he painted with a brush.

"Hendrick, did Daddy find a therapist for you?" He crouched down beside him, inquiring.

Surprisingly, upon seeing her photo, his head shook vigorously like a drum, "No, I don't want her."

Arthur's smile froze on his face. He had chosen her specifically for his son, wasting at least an hour of his precious time.

"Why? She perfectly matches your preferences," he asked, puzzled.

"No, I don't want her. She's not gentle," Hendrick replied expressionlessly.

"Then, how gentle are you looking for?" Arthur felt a headache coming.

"That's it," Hendrick suddenly said, pointing to the drawing on his easel.

Arthur looked up and realized that Hendrick had already sketched a woman on the easel.

Upon closer inspection, his expression darkened.

The woman on the canvas bore a striking resemblance to Sylvia!
