Axel had been transferred from the intensive care unit to a regular ward.

Elysia and Benjamin had just finished examining him when Lowell led a group of strangers into the room.

There were six of them in total—five men and one woman.

One of the men had snow-white hair and appeared to be at least seventy years old.

Two were in their fifties, and the remaining three were a bit younger.

They were all dressed in police uniforms, exuding a strong sense of righteousness!

Lowell introduced them.

"These are police officers from the border. They came specifically to see Axel."

"This gentleman was Captain Rhodes' superior when he was alive. These two were his former colleagues, and these three were his former students."

Hearing this, Elysia and Blossom quickly greeted them politely, taking the fruit baskets and flowers from their hands.

Folly and Hollis were also in the room; Folly offered them seats while Hollis warmly poured water for everyone.

The six officers stood by the bed. The moment they laid eyes on Axel, tears welled up in their eyes.

Axel looked incredibly similar to Julian. Anyone who had ever seen Julian could instantly tell that this was his son!

The female officer was more emotional. Unable to hold back, she burst into tears right there.

Seeing this, Blossom quickly handed her a tissue. The young woman wiped her tears and said,

"Thank you, Mrs. Rhodes. He looks so much like Captain Rhodes. The moment I saw him, I thought of our captain. Our captain, he..."

Blossom froze at being called 'Mrs. Rhodes.' She explained awkwardly,

"We... we aren't even together yet."

"So, the fact that you're willing to entrust your daughter to him truly moves us and earns our deepest gratitude!"

"Rest assured, even though he's the last surviving member of the Rhodes family, he has the entire nation and all of us standing behind him!"

"The Drug Enforcement Division is his home, and every single narcotics officer is his family!"

"No matter the time, no matter what happens, if he ever needs anything, we will help him at any cost!"

The officer next to him chimed in.

"And not just our division! Every branch of the national law enforcement and public security systems is his family!"

"Latham and Captain Rhodes sacrificed everything. We will absolutely care for his child with all our hearts, just like he's one of our own!"

"We didn't know he existed before, but now that we do, we will do everything in our power to keep him safe. We will never let a hero's legacy be forgotten!"

"If Axel ever faces injustice out there, he just has to say the word, and we will all stand behind him!"
