Several of them let out weary sighs almost at the same time.

The tension in the room never eased, and every face remained grim and serious. Not a single person showed signs of exhaustion even though the night had grown late. Servants came and went in steady succession, bringing food and drinks while making sure every guest attending tonight’s gathering remained comfortable.

“He killed every last one of them without leaving a single person alive for interrogation,” he continued irritably. “Honestly, I’m still not satisfied with the explanation he gave earlier.”
