Chapter 530
Harold stopped abruptly. His gaze hardened. Within seconds, he realized the exit had already been sealed.
“Move,” he said coldly.
No one did.
He tried to push through, but one of the men grabbed his shoulder. Harold reacted instantly, shoving him and trying to break free. A brief struggle broke out in the narrow passage.
But they had anticipated everything.
Two men quickly locked his arms behind him. The phone slipped from his hand and skidded across the floor. Harold struggled, twisting his body, but their grip was unyielding.
“Resisting won’t change anything,” one of the team members said calmly.
Harold was breathing hard. His chest rose and fell rapidly. His face flushed-not only with anger, but for the first time that day, with something deeper.
Fear.
He knew it now. Everything he had built to destroy others was turning back on him.
“Let me go,” Harold hissed coldly.
“If you keep resisting, you might end up with more than just your hands broken,” one of Aaron’s men warned. “ We won’t hesitate to hurt you. You should understand something-we’re not the police.”
That sentence made Harold stop struggling.
For the first time, he realized there was no way out.
He tried again to break free, but the effort failed. Even when he attempted to fight back with a concealed blade, the men surrounding him were faster, more skilled turning the situation against him within seconds.
Meanwhile, at the city’s media center, the situation had shifted dramatically.
Several news stations that had previously broadcast negative coverage of Daven were now airing new reports.
Bold headlines flashed across the screens:
Conspiracy Exposed
Evidence of Manipulation Against Callister Group
Bret Frederick Arrested
Arsen stood inside a small conference room with several members of the legal team.
“Make sure all transaction data has been sent to the main editorial offices,” he said. “And include the journalist’s testimony.”
Chris looked at him. “Good thing we detained the person who showed up at Daven’s house. They were bold-

reckless, even. Did they really think something like that would bring him down?”
Arsen let out a quiet breath. “You know better than anyone what we’re dealing with.”
“The journalist’s statement is one of the key pieces,” Chris added. “People who play dirty always end up falling into the mess they create themselves.”
Arsen nodded in agreement.
“But I’m curious,” Chris continued. “What exactly did he say?”
“He admitted he was paid to publish articles designed to discredit Daven,” Arsen replied. “And that’s not all. The media owner has a long-standing connection with Harold. They worked together to shape public opinion.”
Chris exhaled slowly. “Harold really placed his pieces everywhere to take Daven down. Impressive… in a twisted way.”
“And we’re not done yet,” Arsen added. “We’ve also submitted evidence of communication between Harold’s team and several parties within the prosecutor’s office.”
Chris looked at him sharply.
“You’re certain?”
“Of course. This wasn’t easy-and I suppose this is exactly why I haven’t been home for the past few days,” Arsen said. “They’re currently under internal investigation.’
“)
“You’ve really worked hard to uncover all this.”
Arsen gave a faint smile. “Because I believe Mr. Daven has never done anything that would harm anyone.”
Several hours later, all those developments were being shown by Cale to Daven and Althea in the hospital room.
On the tablet screen, the news of Bret and Harold’s arrests played on a loop.
Althea covered her mouth, unable to believe how quickly everything had moved. “So… all of this was really orchestrated by one person?” she asked softly.
Cale nodded. “Bret was arrested while trying to flee. Harold resisted, but Aaron’s team was prepared for that.”
Daven stared at the screen, the relief in his eyes impossible to hide.
“What about the media?” he asked.
“Several outlets have already shifted their stance,” Cale replied. “And more importantly, one of the major networks that attacked you was involved in the conspiracy. The journalist who was detained has given a full statement.”
Althea turned to Daven. “This means… everything that’s been used against you is starting to come to light.”
“Not everything,” Cale said. “The prosecutor’s office is also under internal review. There are indications they helped steer the case.”
Daven drew a long breath. The tension that had weighed on his shoulders for weeks finally eased, if only slightly.

“I want Harold charged with every possible violation,” he said firmly. “He didn’t just attack the company. He destroyed my reputation-and threatened my family.”
Cale nodded. “Richard is already preparing for that. He’s putting everything in place to make sure they stay behind bars for a long time.”
Daven immediately picked up his phone and sent a brief message.
“Make sure everyone involved is pulled into the legal process. No one walks away.”
For a few seconds, the room fell silent.
Then Cale spoke again, his tone noticeably more serious.
