Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 737

As they listened to Scott's unrelenting commentary, they began realizing they were partly responsible for the consequences they faced.

They thought their "lecture" had concluded after today, yet Scott appeared in the study again the next day. This time, he came with Eva.

Eva said, "Shan slept so long since she came home yesterday. She won't wake up. I think she's gonna die!"

Her little face displayed seriousness when saying the last line. Marie and Caleb were naturally taken aback.

Even though Scott had somewhat swayed them yesterday, they secretly dismissed the idea that Shannon needed to recharge her spiritual energy. To them, it sounded more like an excuse to avoid helping them.

However, their suspicions quickly vanished upon hearing Eva's words. Shannon had indeed gotten injured—in fact, Scott had downplayed her condition.

Naturally, they didn't suspect whether a six-year-old was lying to them. It seemed Shannon had suffered a huge blow much more severely than they thought because she had fallen into a deep sleep.

Damn it, Cecily!

Scott and Eva were unaware of their thoughts.

After completing their two-minute lecture for the day, Scott rose to his feet and said, "Grandma, Cal, it'll be the seventh day tomorrow. But don't worry; even if Shannon can't help, she'll make sure to find someone who can."

Meanwhile, Eva was clueless about the whole situation. All she knew was that "Evil Cecily" had trapped Marie and Caleb into the two dolls.

Although she couldn't comprehend how Cecily had turned into "Evil Cecily", she chose to believe whatever George and Adam had told her.

Tipping her toes, she extended her arms and patted the heads of the two dolls, her voice sweet but solemn. "Grandma, Caleb, you two stay good. I'll come back and play with you guys tomorrow."

Marie was weirded out. "Yeah, the fox."

Shannon's pet fox was surprisingly plump, too. Lost in her thoughts, she suddenly caught a glimpse of a fleeting white shadow darting by. In the next moment, a large fox head loomed directly in front of her.

Marshmallow's round, glistening eyes darted between the two dolls, while its chubby tail wagged back and forth.

At that moment, Marie was secretly relieved she was trapped within a glass cabinet. The most it could do was watch, right?

The next moment, she saw Marshmallow pressing its paw against the glass display cabinet. With a soft click, the cabinet swung open.

Marie was stunned. Before she could even react, Marshmallow lowered its body, opened its mouth, and clamped on the doll. In an instant, it had snatched Marie and bolted away.
