Shannon hadn't expected to receive a hint from Elda.
After departing from Elda's house, Shannon instinctively glanced toward Benjamin. She had never heard anything about a blood servant. Perhaps the Dragon Vein would know something.
Benjamin met her eyes and parted his lips, ready to speak, but Bianca chimed in. "I know about blood servants."
Shannon and the others cocked their heads toward Bianca, who wore a solemn expression.
Meeting the gazes of the others, Bianca took a deep breath and slowly explained, "On the night of the full moon, the handsome vampire count awakens from his ancient castle. Under the moonlight, he sets out to hunt for his prey.
"Every prey he 'baptizes' will become his most loyal servant, but among these servants, there will be one—only one—who will become the vampire's bride."
The street was eerily silent.
It wasn't until Scott's hand trembled that the emerald pendant, which he had been nervously holding, finally slipped from his grasp in shock.
His face instantly turned pale, and he screamed in panic, "No! Shannon!"
"Forgive me for the sin I'm about to commit," he thought.
However, the next second, a cloud of black smoke steadied the talismans-wrapped pendant moments before it hit the ground.
The black smoke gently lifted the emerald and flew it toward Shannon's bag. There, floating above it, was an alligator snapping turtle.
Though its appearance was fierce, there was an odd sense of smugness in its expression at that moment.
"Man, what will you guys do without me?"
What was Scott's purpose? Not only did he cost Shannon her mission points, but he could also barely hold an item.
Thankfully, Scott couldn't hear Albany's voice. Otherwise, he would be kneeling on the ground, begging for Shannon's forgiveness.
Shannon ignored Albany and simply slapped Scott's head before shifting her attention to Bianca.
Legend had it that those bitten by vampires became their most loyal servants.
Setting aside Jesse's situation—if she were to consider the attitude of the three female guests toward Archie during Love Pulse, it could be attributed to the influence of the love curse… or perhaps the inherent loyalty of a blood servant to their master.
Shannon had once wondered how the energy of Archie's love curse could be hidden so perfectly. She previously deduced that it was due to Vlad's malicious cursed creature.
But what if that cursed creature was a regular one, and the thing that had truly concealed its energy was the black blood that represented the binding contract of a blood servant?
The mystery before them would've been an open book if the cursed creature and black blood had been separated from the start. It was only through their complete integration that Archie ultimately coughed up black blood.
"Looks like Vlad isn't the only target we're after. We need to uncover his foreign helpers."
Shannon's words were directed to Benjamin.
When he heard them, he fell silent briefly and said, "It won't be that easy to find Vlad."
