Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1845

However, Shannon's healing spell was not powerful enough to allow rapid healing like Elliot's abilities. So, she asked Raiden to take him to Avery's clinic for a simple stitching.

The goal was to have the wound on his face fully repaired within a day.

By then, Raiden finally snapped out of the shock from the sudden events.

Hearing Shannon's words, he immediately stepped forward, lifted Jesse, and dragged Steen out before heading toward the exit.

It wasn't until everyone had left that Shannon finally turned her attention back to Elda, answering the question she had asked earlier.

"On the way here, I sensed something unusual in Jesse's body. It was like the presence of cursed creatures, but there was no actual trace of them. It resembled a situation I encountered before."

Shannon wasn't particularly skilled at dealing with cursed creatures. Even when she faced Archie, her approach had been to draw out the creatures first and then eliminate them.

The same applied to the one inside Jesse's body.

Of course, as Elda had done earlier, forcibly ripping the creature out of the body was also a viable option. Although the process was somewhat violent, it was indeed effective.

On her way here, though, Shannon had thought of a more careful approach.

"From Jesse's appearance, he seems like just an ordinary high school student with no particular background. The only thing that makes him special is that he has a tiger demon friend online," Shannon said.

"The cursed creature I encountered was of a very hidden type, but this particular one had been easily sensed by both Raiden and me.

"Therefore, I wonder, when this creature chose Jesse, could it have already predicted that his friend would seek help from you on his behalf?"

Elda, who had previously exuded calmness and composure, suddenly released a dangerous supernatural energy. It was the fury of being outwitted.

The events from earlier proved that Shannon's guess was correct.

With that thought in mind, she looked at Shannon, and the coldness in her gaze softened slightly. Although she still appeared sharp and serious, she seemed somewhat less distant than before.

It was a subtle shift, but much more favorable compared to her earlier demeanor toward others.

"I'll have Raiden's parents give him a proper lecture on this matter," Elda said.

While she believed in sparing Raiden from excessive guilt, she understood that a bit of guilt could help him grow.

The demon clan preferred a more direct and harsh approach when educating young demons. However, she still respected Shannon's perspective.

She glanced at what Scott was holding in his hands and suddenly turned to Shannon, saying, "You can try investigating blood servants if you wish to know more about that moving black blood."

It was a hint, but beyond that, there was nothing more to say.
