Chapter Thirty One
She knew she wouldn't be able to resist what Ahmed’s grandmother offered her, but she just couldn't bear seeing Sahaan happy.
Ahmed stands at the same place in shock, his phone dropping on the floor.
~Flashback Ends~
Ahmed comes out of his thoughts as his red eyes land on Sahaan.
Sahaan looks at him, completely shocked over hearing what happened. Tears well up in her eyes. How low can Tanzeen get to make her suffer?
"What happened? Why are you silent? Answer me!” Ahmed asks her, shaking her shoulders.
"What's the use of saying anything, Ahmed? If I say something, will you stop blaming me? I won’t explain myself because I didn’t do anything wrong.” Sahaan whispers, looking down.
"You are right! I won’t believe you either way. If you didn't do anything, then prove it.” He blurts, knowing she has no evidence.
"That means I'm right. You don't have any proof. I'm warning you, Sahaan. Say no to this wedding or else no one will be able to save you from me." Ahmed yells at her in the same tone.
Tears well up in Sahaan's eyes. She knows what her mother was thinking. Her mother didn’t say anything, but she didn’t have to, Sahaan knows her mother was missing her father, just like her. They are both thinking of him.
Isra comes and sets her scarf.
"Aw! My sister looks so beautiful!" Azra squeals loudly, her face radiating happiness.
Isra nods in agreement, with the same expression plastered on her face. Sahaan notices Isra is oddly quiet. She wants to ask her what's wrong, but she knows now isn’t the time. She leaves the room with Isra on one side and Azra on the other.
