Chapter Thirty
Ahmed notices her reaction upon seeing him and this clears his doubt about what Tanzeen was saying.
He angrily marches towards her and grabs her arm in his firm grip.
Sahaan hisses in pain as the previous wounds he gave her have not yet healed. His tight grip reopens the old wounds and also creates new ones.
"You look really happy. What did you get out of snatching away my love from me?” He yells in a frustrated voice.
"What’s wrong with you! What nonsense are you talking about? Let me go!" She tells him, simultaneously trying to remove her arms from his hands.
"You must be really happy! You got your love. You separated two lovers, so you'll never be happy! I’ll personally make sure of it!” He meets her eyes, which has no life in them.
"You’ve truly gone mad! This was grandma’s decision, not mine. Ask her why she did this!" She yells, pushing him back with all of her force.
Ahmed stumbles back, not expecting her push. He glares at her angrily.
"Don’t bring grandma into everything as an excuse! I know you blackmailed Tanzeen to leave." He yells at her and she looks at him in shock
"Do you really think so low of me? You think I can do something like that?” Her heart once again broke at his accusations.
"Yes, I believe you did it! And I also never thought you’ll fall so low.” He replies to her question.
"What did Tanzeen tell you to make you believe this? Tell me as well!" She confidently asks him, completely ready to defend herself.
What I said is the truth! I'm sorry, Ahmed. I'm at the airport right now." She tells him, trying her best to sound sad.
"At least tell me what she told you!" Ahmed requests, almost pleadingly.
“I'm sorry! I just can't," She whispers in a low voice.
"Then I'll ask her myself." Ahmed says with a firm voice, making Tanzeen scared.
"No. no! Don’t tell her! She told me not to tell anyone, but I still did. Goodbye!" She cuts the call, taking a deep breath. She walks towards the departure gate, smirking.
She knew she wouldn't be able to resist what Ahmed’s grandmother offered her, but she just couldn't bear seeing Sahaan happy.
