Chapter Nineteen
Sahaan gathers up her courage and tries for one last time.
“Ahmed, please don’t marry her! I'm begging you. She's no good. She'll destroy you and our family. Please listen to me!” Sahaan softly whispers. Ahmed is surprised yet angered by her words.
“What the fuck is wrong with you, Sahaan?!" Sahaan cringes on his loud voice.
“I love her!” Ahmed seethes.
Sahaan can hear the breaking of the small organ residing in her chest. She looks down, tears strolling down her tender cheeks.
Ahmed harshly grips her forearm and jerks her towards himself. He cups her jaw tightly, his finger digging into her cheeks. A painful whimper leaves her mouth. She shuts her eyes tightly, resulting in a few tears to fall off her cheeks.
His grip tightens on her jaw, making her heart tighten in pain along with his grip.
"Listen to me and listen well. This is the last time I'm hearing such words from your disgusting mouth. Next time, don't even dare to utter my beloved's name from your dirty mouth!” He pushes her, roughly.
She stumbles towards the closet, her back hitting the rock-hard closet handle. Pain sears through her back and her wince doesn't go unnoticed by him.
He steps forward in concern, but stops remembering her words. A cold look flashes in his stormy grey eyes.
Sahaan looks at him with eyes filled with pain and unshed tears.
How could he insult her pure feelings for him?
"You are delusional if you think that I'll leave her for you! From now on, stay away from my life. You are no one to me. I don’t know what spell you put on dad, making him bring you her. This isn’t an orphanage.” He spits out.
He steps towards the door with that, not knowing the effects of his words on the poor soul.
"You already forgot your promise?” She mutters, stopping him.
He doesn't turn around, his back still facing her.
