He Watched Me Shine Without Him novel Chapter 66

Sam listened and revealed a relieved smile.

But he was stubborn, saying, "Who knows how long Houston will pamper Rose?"

"Of course, it's for a lifetime."

"A man's heart is as fathomless as the ocean floor. Who can say for sure?"

Just as Sam finished speaking, his ear was grabbed by Linda. "Get up and explain to me what you mean by 'a man's heart is as fathomless as the ocean floor? Has your heart changed?"

"Ouch, honey, we're old married folks. Even if I had the intention, no woman would take me seriously as an old man. I'm talking about the younger generation, like Ethan."

Linda let go of Sam and said, "Don't mention that guy. How can he compare to our Houston?"

As the first light of dawn broke in the sky, Sam and Linda got up to prepare breakfast for their children.

Meanwhile, the Brown household was filled with intense arguing.

Vivian kicked Ethan, who had returned in the middle of the night, under the bed. She glared at him and scolded, "Ethan, do you even have the face to come back? Don't you think I'm not as understanding as your first love? Then just leave."

Ethan's face was pale as he sat on the floor. The cold floor sent chills through his pores and straight into his heart.

He felt utterly humiliated.

But with no place to go, he had no strength to fight back.

Hearing the commotion, Vivian's parents, both in their pajamas, rushed in anxiously. Seeing their son-in-law sitting on the floor and their daughter glaring at him with tears in her eyes, Aaron shook his head in disappointment.

"What's going on now?" he asked irritably.

Vivian whined, "He stayed out all night and complained that I'm not gentle and considerate enough. If that's the case, I'll set him free. From now on, we'll go our separate ways. Ethan, are you satisfied now?"

Ethan looked up, his usually arrogant face showing a crack from the blow. "Are you breaking up with me? What about our child?"

Vivian grumbled, "I'll have an abortion."

Ethan looked at Vivian in horror, his lips trembling. "Vivian, that's our son. If you abort him, there's no going back for us."

Ethan had a preference for boys, and since Vivian was carrying a boy, he valued the child especially. Perhaps because of the child, he also showed Vivian more affection.

As a doctor, I knew how much harm an abortion would do to her physically and mentally. I also knew that breaking up with Ethan would damage Vivian's reputation. Without Ethan, it would be hard for Vivian to find such a well-educated and high-quality husband again.
