Ethan's face was somewhat indifferent. "A friend of mine had some trouble, so I went to his place," he explained.

Aaron didn't suspect anything else and anxiously told him, "Vivian is still at the police station. You need to go and bail her out."

For the first time, Ethan's face showed some emotion. "What happened?"

"Last night she went to see Rose, and Houston slapped her. The police officers took her away on the grounds of disturbing others," Aaron explained.

"I broke up with Rose a long time ago. Vivian couldn't find me, so she went to Rose to look for me. She was humiliating Rose and, by extension, me," Ethan shouted, his face contorted with anger.

Aaron knew his daughter's actions were inappropriate, but Ethan's self-centered attitude also made him feel cold.

"Ethan, Vivian is carrying your child. Instead of feeling sorry for her situation, you're blaming her for bothering Rose. Do you really love Vivian?"

Aaron asked, his voice trembling with anger but still trying to be patient.

Ethan, seeing his father-in-law's anger, quickly regained his composure and forced down his temper. "Dad, I'm wrong."

Aaron waved his hand wearily. "Go, bail Vivian out. I'll cover for you at work."

Ethan turned and walked towards the hospital exit.

Out of Aaron's sight, Ethan took out his phone and quickly found Rose's number.

He called her, intending to settle the score and apologize sincerely.

I want to reprimand Houston for hitting Vivian and also make amends with Rose.

But the call was met with a strange voice, "Sorry, the number you have dialed is no longer in service."

Is she trying to completely cut ties with the past?
