Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1739

"Why is the door locked mid-break? What's going on?" Jordan asked.

The class scattered.

Shelia had met him once with Debra, knowing he was Andrew's brother.

She crawled to him and pleaded, "Please, save me. They're trying to kill me."

"Slow down. Who is trying to kill you?" Jordan asked.

"She swapped Debra's bracelet and now she's playing victim," a classmate yelled.

"I didn't," Shelia denied flat-out.

"You took Debra's bracelet?" Jordan's sudden question made her flinch.

She stammered, "I-I didn't. They're framing me. I gave it back already."

"Where's the bracelet?" he pressed.

"The bracelet... Uh..." She fumbled, realizing she had just swallowed it.

"No proof, huh? Call 911 and haul her off," Jordan said, sealing her fate.

Shelia collapsed, her face turning ashen.

"Thought someone finally beat you," Jordan said, strolling to Debra's desk. "Turns out you're the one dishing it out."

Jordan squinted at her. "You sure you didn't nap through lunch and fry your brain?"

"Huh?"

"That was your last class. I've got your schedule memorized. Or did you forget it entirely?"

She glanced at the clock. It was already five p.m. The last class was done.

Before she could dwell on it, Jordan stood up. "Andrew sent me to grab you. Let's go home."

She blinked. "Home? Whose home?"

"You did sleep yourself stupid," he said, frowning. "Your place, duh. Are you so eager to move in? Have some dignity."
