Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1704

Erica still felt uneasy.

The other night, she had passed out somehow. By the time she woke up, she found herself in this secret room.

Then Yvette showed up. "Erica, I know you're a good kid. Hiding you here is the only way I can protect you. I get that you came snooping around, but it's too risky. Enoch is not coming back anytime soon. You will be safe here."

"But I can't just hide here," Erica argued. "I've got friends out there. I need to stand with them. Right now, they are probably freaking out over me."

She set down the snacks and stood up. Suddenly, the room spun.

"Mrs. Osborne..."

"Trust me, honey. This is for your good."

...

At the Potter Mansion, Randy woke up at dusk.

Debra smirked at William, who was lurking by the door. "Your drugs pack a hell of a punch. He slept all day."

"To prevent him from waking up too soon, you know," he chuckled nervously, ducking behind the doorframe.

He was afraid of Randy's wrath. The man was a beast when he was angry.

Randy rubbed his aching head and glared at the door. "Damn!"

"I don't care. I'm going now," Michael insisted, struggling to stand.

Marion grabbed his arm. "I'm not stopping you. I'll drive you over in a bit."

"Why didn't you just drag him along this morning?" William muttered.

"Daytime? Too risky," Jordan answered. "At night, we can sneak in. From what we learned today, Enoch probably didn't know Erica was there. Whatever was in that bag, it wasn't her."

Debra chimed in to reassure Randy, "Don't worry. Marion's men are watching the house. If anything goes down, they'll storm in."

"It's not that I don't trust you," he replied, rubbing his temples. "Her disappearance just feels off."
