Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1705

Erica had a temper, but she was not reckless.

There had to be more to it. They just didn't know what yet.

"I'll get the car," Marion said, standing up and snagging the keys from Jordan.

Under the cover of the night, he drove Michael toward the Osborne Mansion.

Randy broke the silence. "I didn't mean to..."

"I know," Marion said coolly. "I wouldn't think you were hiding anything."

"I've never been big on fighting," Randy admitted. "Gave up training ages ago. Looking back, I was such an idiot. If I'd been tougher, Erica wouldn't have been taken under my nose."

Marion glanced at him in the rearview mirror. "Trust her. She's not an ordinary girl."

"Yeah." Randy trailed off.

He did trust her. But when danger hit, he still panicked.

Soon, the car pulled up at the gate.

Marion tapped his earpiece, and a voice came through. "Report. We've been watching 24/7. Nothing weird."

"Got it," Marion said, cutting the call.

Then he helped Randy out of the car and headed toward the house.

The lights were on, but the place felt cold and empty.

"Where is everyone?" Randy muttered, clutching his side.

They pried it open with tools, but nothing was inside.

"Erica." Michael stumbled down and dropped to his knees.

A tress of hair on the ground caught his eye. He grabbed it and said, "She was here. Find her."

The guards started to search every nook and cranny. Meanwhile, Marion texted Debra.

Debra and Jordan arrived soon.

"Mrs. Osborne's gone too," she muttered, looking around.

One of Marion's guys spoke up. "Madam, our team's been outside. No one could've just vanished."

"Vanished?" Debra echoed, suddenly looking up. "I've got it."
