Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 541

"Such a serious tone?" Shaun poured Lindsey a glass of milk. "I guess it’s a troublesome matter, huh?" Shaun spoke playfully, but Lindsey still did not feel relaxed.

Seeing that Lindsey’s face was glum, Shaun put away his smile and asked, "What's wrong?"

Soren was at the lobby of Denarius when he received news that Lindsey had arrived safely at her office.

Although Soren was a shareholder, his position in Denarius was the same as Quentin's, but the nature of his work was a little different from Quentin. The time he spent in the country each year was not half as much as the time he spent abroad. Even when he came to the office, he did not have to clock in or clock out.

However, Soren usually went to the office early and treated himself as an ordinary employee of Denarius.

Suddenly, Soren could feel some sneaky footsteps approaching from behind. He did not look back and clasped the person’s wrist, then exerted some force until Quentin yelped in pain. After successfully attracting the attention of the staff around them, Soren let go and patted his hands to dust the non-existent dirt from his sleeves. He then dissed Quentin. "Quentin, you haven’t made any progress after so many years."

Quentin winced in pain while he rubbed his "badly injured" wrist. "What do you mean I haven't improved? You’re the crazy one! How do you always know which direction I'm going to attack you? Huh?"

Without waiting for Soren's answer, Quentin pouted again and shouted, "This is unfair! I don't care, it’s so unfair!"

Soren just looked at him like he was a retard. The surrounding employees’ attention was attracted by Quentin earlier. After a while, they went about their business and ignored these two people as if nothing had happened. The whole company knew that Quentin would become like a three-year-old from time to time, and everyone was already used to it.

Moreover, Soren would always win over Quentin.

Quentin was still sulking that Soren could accurately catch his sneaky hands every single time he tried until they walked into the elevator.

Soren was so annoyed with Quentin and glared at him. "Stop irritating me!" In his heart, Soren was amazed that Zayn still had not exiled Quentin to a small island in Africa so that this fool would not be able to come back after three to five years.

Quentin just pouted and looked like he wanted to cry.

If a helpless little girl made this face, it might have the desired effect. Unfortunately, Quentin was a 183 cm tall man, so Soren just felt uncomfortable seeing him like this.

However, Quentin was not done trying to annoy Soren. He even lightly pushed Soren and said, "Sorie, you’ve been gone for so long and you’re still so mean to me..."

Soren just felt that he would rather be blind and deaf so that he would not need to see and hear Quentin. Soren used all his might to hold back from beating Quentin to a pulp.

‘This idiot really knows how to get on my nerves!’

When the elevator reached the top floor, Soren ran out the instant the elevator door opened like he was being chased by a wolf. Behind him, Quentin walked out leisurely and smiled so brightly that his eyes squinted. He then leaned against the elevator wall in style.

The Denarius employees found that Quentin and Soren’s behavior were very strange that day, but they could not pinpoint what was so strange about them.

"Looking for someone?" Zayn repeated softly, then said thoughtfully, "I heard that Arthur staged the death of the former head of the Evans family. What makes him go through so much trouble to find one person?"

Soren shook his head. He still could not figure it out after one whole night. It was really interesting that the heir of a prestigious family was following Zayn’s son.

Zayn spun around the pen again and suddenly felt inexplicably irritated. "Get a few more people to protect Dezi and inform his school not to let any random people in...also, send someone to protect Madam."

"Yes, sir." After that, Soren retreated.

Zayn was left alone in his office staring at the picture of a man with his brows deeply furrowed and a thoughtful look on his face. The irritation in his heart grew.

Hemera.

After listening to Lindsey's description, Shaun nearly jumped up in shock. "Why didn't you call me earlier? How’s Dezi? Did he get scared?"

"It's okay, Brother, sit down first." Lindsey hurriedly added, "We’re fine. That’s why I’m telling you now. I just want to find a few bodyguards to protect Dezi on the way to and from school. I really can’t feel at ease."

Before this, Shaun got a few bodyguards to protect Lindsey, but after seeing that nothing happened to her and she even had Sieben at home, he withdrew the bodyguards. Shaun did not expect Lindsey to be in danger again.
