Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 375

At that time, everyone's eyes fell on this little child.

This child, who looked like he had rolled out of a mud pile, was still tugging at Lindsey's shirt. He looked at Zayn without any fear in his eyes and even with a little anger, as if he was mad at Zayn for taking Lindsey away.

Yvette tugged on Shaun's sleeve and whispered, "Lindsey said the child was missing and she really found a child. Just now, he was lying next to Lindsey blending in with the ground, so I almost stepped on him. When I helped Lindsey up earlier, he also looked at me like this. He just kept clutching Lindsey’s clothes and even looked at me with hatred. He looks so pitiful."

After that, Yvette sighed and whispered to Zayn, "Hey, since we're in a hurry to go back and he won't let go, why don't we take him with us first and wait until tomorrow to find his parents?"

She said carefully probably because she was afraid that Zayn would not agree, but the look in that child's eyes was too touching.

Zayn was silent for a few seconds. His eyes fell on the little pile of mud and surprisingly nodded.

Yvette was delighted and thought that Lindsey would certainly be very happy when she woke up.

She took a few steps forward, squatted down, and tried to pry the child's hands away from Lindsey's clothes. She coaxed softly, "Let go first. We’ll take you back, okay?"

However, the child just stubbornly gripped Lindsey's clothes and did not let go. He even glared fiercely at Yvette.

"He's scared." Next to her, Sieben suddenly interjected.

Yvette did not know how Sieben came to that conclusion, but Yvette thought that such a young child probably regarded Lindsey as someone he could be close to. Since they wanted to take Lindsey away, he was hostile to them.

Having figured this out, Yvette no longer tried to loosen his grip. Instead, she picked the child up and said to Zayn, "I'll carry him. Go and find a doctor for Lindsey first."

She suddenly picked the child up. That child was still pulling Lindsey’s shirt with both hands and did not let go. He struggled violently and even lowered his head, wanting to bite Yvette.

Shaun immediately reached out and took the child from Yvette.

He held the boy’s arms and legs with each arm. No one knew how Shaun did it. Earlier, Yvette could not pry the boy’s hand away from Lindsey, but after the child was restrained, he instantly let go.

Shaun used one hand to pull the two small hands behind the child’s back so that he could not break free and bite him. Then, Shaun gave Zayn a look to indicate for Zayn to hurry up.

Zayn glanced at the kid again, then without hesitation, he carried Lindsey out of the park.

Shaun thought that the child would cry, but unexpectedly, he neither cried nor made a fuss. After realizing that he could not resist Shaun’s suppression, he automatically found a comfortable position for himself. However, he was still glaring at Shaun fiercely.

When the child saw that Shaun was following behind Zayn, or more accurately, Lindsey, the anger and insignificant fierceness on his face gradually faded away.

Only a deep defensiveness remained in the bottom of his eyes.

The child and Lindsey were both so dirty with a faint stench of mud coming from them, but no one felt repulsed.

He reached out and grabbed the kid’s collar to lift his little head. Earlier, the child was still active, but this time, his eyes were tightly closed. He surprisingly fell asleep just like that.

Somehow, Zayn reached out to touch the child's forehead and found out that he was only sleeping, not feverish like Lindsey.

On the way back, everyone’s mood was very different from when they came. Sieben was lying on the back of Soren's seat and played with his short hair while Yvette sat next to her.

Yvette was still in disbelief about what happened. She tried to pull Sieben's attention away from Soren's hair. "Sieben, can you tell me how you found out that Lindsey was over there?"

Even though Sieben called Yvette “Auntie Yvie”, Yvette would never address herself like that. Sieben looked puzzled and scratched her head. "I just know."

"How? Tell me, have you practiced listening to the sound of people’s breathing so you can find the person that’s several dozen meters away?" Yvette was interested and needed to get an answer.

Sieben thought about it, and said to Yvette seriously, "I heard it."

Yvette instantly looked at Sieben in awe. In front of them, Soren could not help but chuckle. Yvette really believed this?

Sieben was trained since young. No matter the environment, she would be hypersensitive about her surroundings. This was a survival skill that she had long been trained in, so it became basic instincts.

However, at that time, Sieben was not thinking in such a complex manner. She just knew that she wanted to find Lindsey, so she ran over when she saw another person not far away.
