Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 258

"Young Madam, the Young Master said that he had to go to the office for something today and would only be back in the afternoon. He asked you to eat well." As soon as Mrs. Wendy said that, Lindsey's stomach cooperatively growled.

Mrs. Wendy was overjoyed and said, "Come eat! The Little Young Master must be starving."

Lindsey's face flushed red from Mrs. Wendy’s joke. She then sat down at the dining table.

She first took a sip of milk before asking, "Where are Soren and Sieben?"

"They’re at the shooting range out back." Mrs. Wendy set up all of Lindsey’s favorite food while she answered, "In the morning, Soren came over to check the surveillance at the entrance. The little girl didn’t come. Soren didn’t seem to be in a good mood today. Later, he took the little girl to the shooting range."

Lindsey nodded gently. Soren’s bad mood was most probably related to Sieben.

After Lindsey finished eating, she was bored and asked the maid to accompany her to the shooting range.

Lindsey was never interested in these things and rarely came in the past. Before she even entered, she heard the sound of gunshots inside.

She walked around to the front. The back was a large empty field with a dozen targets. At that moment, Soren and Sieben were all geared up and they were both aiming at the targets, shooting at them continuously.

None of them noticed Lindsey coming as they seemed to be in a competition.

What surprised Lindsey was that Sieben seemed to be very familiar with guns. Her posture was graceful and accurate. She also never hesitated to pull the trigger and was comparable to Soren.

At this time, Sieben seemed like a completely different person. She looked cold and stern with her grim face. She was so different from how she looked usually.

After one round, someone went up to tally their scores. Sieben put the gun down and turned back to wink at Soren.

Soren glanced at her and turned to look at Lindsey. "Madam, do you want to try?"

Lindsey hurriedly waved her hand. "No thanks."

Soren was just casually asking. Without professional training, Lindsey's arm might be dislocated from the recoil.

Sieben hugged Lindsey’s shoulders and said softly next to her ear, “It’s fun!”

Lindsey looked up at her. "If it’s so fun, why aren’t you happy?"

Once she said that, Sieben's face stiffened. Even Soren looked over and thought, ‘She’s unhappy?’

"Sigh...you exposed me!" Sieben pretended to be angry and patted Lindsey's shoulder. "You have to treat me to something delicious."

This girl's lifelong hobby seemed to be food. Anything could be forgiven with just one meal.

As a German girl, Sieben’s English was pretty good. She also really liked American food.

Lindsey had asked Sieben why she liked American food before and Sieben just laughed and said, "It's probably because my stomach loves America so much."

The person in charge of tallying their scores was done and came over. He looked at Soren, then at Sieben, and looked a little hesitant.

Soren had little patience. "Just spit it out."

"Soren got 99 points. Umm...Ms. Sieben...100 points." After he said that, the man did not dare to look at Soren's expression and hurriedly retreated.

Soren's thick eyebrows twitched. He looked at Sieben and saw the girl smiling mischievously, like a cat that got its prey.

"Lindsey..." Allie suddenly cried, "I want to see you. I'm so sad right now and you’re my only friend…"

Allie cried until Lindsey’s heart ached. Allie was so nice to her when she first regained consciousness after the accident, so she quickly said, “Allie, where are you? Don’t go anywhere. I’ll come over now.”

After Allie gave Lindsey the address, Lindsey did not hang up the call for fear of something happening to Allie. She went upstairs to get changed and brought Soren and Sieben along with her.

On the way there, Lindsey muted the call, and only then did she have time to ask carefully about Wilford Corporation's affairs.

“Wilford Corporation has taken it hard this time. Their company's reputation has fallen and they’ve recently fallen out of favor with several partners. They probably can’t stand for much longer, so they announced bankruptcy.”

Although Soren seemed to be at the Guggenheim mansion every day protecting Lindsey, he was aware of everything that went on and he deliberately hid the most important part about this matter from Lindsey.

This only happened because Zayn had just moved up his initial three-month plan.

When Soren raised his head, his gaze unintentionally collided with a pair of big, dark, soulful eyes in the rearview mirror. Soren pretended to avert his gaze away as if nothing had happened.

The place where Allie went was a high-class club and there were many people there even during the day.

When Lindsey arrived, she saw Allie downing glass after glass of wine into her mouth.

Sieben and Soren were making a path for Lindsey so she would not be knocked over by the people around them. Lindsey walked forward and took the glass away from Allie.

Allie opened her drunken blurred eyes and trailed Lindsey’s arm to her face. “Lindsey? You're here…”

As she said that, she staggered to stand up, but she did not stand firm and fell hard on the sofa.
