There were a lot of people in the club, but Lindsey, who was protected by Soren and Sieben, stood out.
Lindsey held Allie and asked Sieben to help take her out.
As soon as Lindsey touched her, Allie burst into tears and reached out to pull Lindsey's arm. "Lindsey, I feel so sad."
It was useless to reason with a drunk person. Lindsey comforted her and said, "It's okay. It’ll pass. I'll take you home first, okay?"
However, Allie shook her head. "I don't want to go home. I wanna stay here. It's so lively."
The vulnerability and grievance in Allie’s voice made Lindsey soft-hearted. In the end, Lindsey had to ask for a private room and brought Allie in with Sieben and Soren’s help.
As soon as Allie sat down, she reached out to pull Lindsey like a child. "Come here. Sit down. My brother asked me to go back to Germany and the only person I’ll miss over here is you."
Perhaps because she had cried, Allie seemed to have sobered up a bit.
Lindsey sat down next to Allie. Sieben also took a seat on the side by herself, leisurely eating the snacks on the table.
"I feel that everything changed. My parents don't care about me and my brother only cares about Sophie." Allie said as she broke into tears. "They never cared about what I wanted."
Lindsey did not know how to comfort her, so she patted Allie's back to soothe her breathing.
After crying for a while, Allie suddenly approached Lindsey. "Lindsey, there’s one thing that I...I never got to tell you."
Lindsey did not know why her heart jumped and glanced at Allie. "What is it?"
Allie looked at Soren and Sieben like she was embarrassed to speak because there were outsiders. Lindsey paused and said, "It's fine if they’re here. Just say what you want to."
"No, it's a secret." The effects of the alcohol got to Allie again. She pouted and stared at Soren as she said, "I know you...you’re so fierce."
Lindsey rubbed her temples and finally compromised. "Okay then, I’ll ask him to go out first."
"What about her?" Allie pointed at Sieben.
Sieben just kept eating and did not care what was going on around her. She only had eyes on the snacks.
"She’s just a kid. So what can she know?" Lindsey laughed and watched as Soren left. She then said to Allie, "Alright, the bad guy you're afraid of is gone. Now you can tell me."
Allie looked at Sieben and pursed her lips discontentedly. She had never met Sieben before, but seeing that she was just a young girl, there was no threat. Besides, it was easy to break her act if she overdid it, so she acquiesced to Sieben staying.
She leaned towards Lindsey. Her eyes were red and looked like she was about to burst into tears. “I’m sorry...”
Lindsey looked at her and showed a slightly forced smile. "What's wrong?"
Allie did not speak. She just took out her phone and tapped something, then showed it to Lindsey.
"Lindsey, I'm sorry." Once Allie saw that Lindsey saw what was on her phone clearly, she casually threw the phone on the table and covered her face with both hands. Her voice was full of regret.
Lindsey felt that the blood in her whole body suddenly stopped flowing when she saw the photo displayed on the phone screen.
Lindsey wiped the tears on Allie’s face. Her movements were gentle, but her face was still pale. "Tell me."
Taking a deep breath, Allie stumbled over her words as if her tongue was tied. "That day...Zayn drank too much. I had a social function. I didn’t expect that he’d take me for you...I wanted to run, but I couldn’t."
As she said this, she cried again, "I kept hitting him, but he was so strong. When I finally left, I somehow took a picture."
Lindsey's face sank with every word Allie said. After Allie was done, Lindsey suddenly said in a deep voice, "I don't believe it!"
Allie made an extremely sad face and said, "I didn't know what to do...I didn't dare to tell you because I'm afraid you'll get angry."
Lindsey's body kept trembling and her fingers were tightly clenched. "Why would Zayn go drinking alone? When did this happen?"
Her voice was cold and Allie cowered with a desolate expression. "I forgot...it was a nightmare. Lindsey, I don’t ever want to recall it."
Allie looked as if she was only able to pour out her deepest secrets when she was drunk.
Lindsey's chest heaved violently. Sieben, who stood behind her at some point, gently held her waist so that she would not fall.
Sieben reached out and suddenly grabbed the bottle of water from the table and poured it over Allie's face.
When with outsiders, Sieben always looked sluggish with her eyes downcast and covered by bangs.
At this time when she looked at Allie, Sieben’s eyes were wide open and hostile. "Are you sober now?"
